The pups eyes began to droop as the elder talked about his ideals for a pack. Overhead, even through the dense trees, the heat was beating down on the young Sauda's back. He suddenly wished to be back in the cave, curled against his mother, and dreaming about exploring the desert beyond.
He was about to nod off when Inyoni suggested a return to the cave. The pup could not have been happier but he knew it would take them a while to get back. Unfortunetly the babe had never been this far from home and he was uncertain as to how to get back.
"Okay," he agreed as he slowly got to his feet. "I think it was this way."
With that being said he took off in a random direction back into the cool glade.

Inyoni took off after him, keeping close to him as they went through the cooler glades. He could imagine how hot it was for the small pup. He was a dark colour and pups were more vulnrable to the heat than he was.
He thought he'd make sure the pup got back safely, even if it meant carrying him back if he collapsed. Though it'd be harder without the pup's navigation...

"I'm not tired," Sauda proclaimed as they walked along the path.
The pup was merely trying to keep himself awake by proclaiming it aloud. He could feel the heat penetrating through the trees and it was making him very sleepy. Normally he would be inside the cave now, cool and wrapped up against his mother instead of wandering around in the hot glade. Suddenly this seemed like a very bad idea to be out here.
"When I get home," he said as he wandered off to the right, "everyone will be very upset with me for wandering off." The pup gave a yawn and pressed on, trying to think of anything other than how tired he was.

"Ah well, it just means they care about you. Really, a lot of things could make a meal out've you out there if you was to get too hot and collapse." He told the other pup. "What do you think your moma would do then if she found out her family protector became hyena food. They worry about you when you're on your own, because anything can happen to you." It wasn't really scolding the pup, just telling him the facts.
"When you go out again, why not go out with one of your brothers or sisters, then you'll be safer." He chuckled, and sighed softly, company on his journey's would be nice. Shame this pup was attatched to his family, which was fine.

((Sorry this took so long. School always gets me busy and I had my wisdom teeth out recently so I've been a little under))
"I'm not supposed to leave the cave," Sauda said softly.
They walked on for a bit and they were near home when a sound caught the young dog's ear. It seemed as if from all sides there came the low hissing of a snake and it frightened the pup. He let out a timid little yip and jumped in the air, startling a snake nearby who had been stalking a mouse.
Annoyed the snake rose up and dove after Sauda's ankle. The snake bit hard and fast, leaving several bite marks on his leg before slithering away in anger. However the young pup wasn't so lucky, he collapsed on the ground in pain and whimpered as blood spattered the ground.

Inyoni barked loudly at the snake, though only too late after he it had pretty much finished it's assult. He growled lowly, before turning to the injured, pup, moving to clean the would breifly with his tongue.
"Are you alright? Are you unable to walk?" He asked, voice full of concern.

Sauda was a tough pup, even injured, and wouldn't let the snake bite affect him. The leg that had been bitten was very weak and unstable; it could not support any of his weight and though he could easily adapt to the change it was still very frustrating. He tried in vain to stay steady but his blood was running hot and he soon began to feel very weak. It wasn't long before he was laying back down on the ground, head in paws, letting out a low whimper.
"It hurts," the young dog complained, as if the older one could do anything about it. "I just want my momma."

Inyoni nodded in understanding, before picking the pup up by the scruff of his neck. "Just direct as well as you can, little one." He muttered with him in his mouth, before continuing on the way they were heading. "I'll get you to your momma."

He felt warm before hand but now felt even warmer as Inyoni picked him up. The venom made him feel sluggish and very tired but he knew he had to stay awake to guide the other wild dog home. At first it was hard for him to find his voice but he struggled through the feeling.
"I think it was left," he said slowly and dully.

Inyoni gave a breif nod, turning left and going down that route. He was brisk, but careful not to shake the pup too much in his mouth, That would be bad in his condition.
He would continue in that direction till the pup stated another, and he'd change course, hopefully to their right destination.

Sauda's eyes were heavy and he found it harder and harder to keep them open. More than anything he wanted to go dip in the cool water of the glade nearby. It would take away some of this horrible feeling.
He had made up his mind in a minute and turned Inyoni in the direction of the pool. Maybe he could wash out this horrible stinging wound and start feeling better enough to at least walk home. The young dog's stomach churned and suddenly he lost his lunch all over the earth.
Whimpering he closed his eyes and began to feel like crying, "It hurts!"

Inyoni paused, waiting until the pup was finished emptying his stomach, before putting him down in the shallows of the pool.
"Snakes.." He growled, trying to think of what hi old pack would do in case of a bite, but alas he drew a blank. "You should drink, drink plenty." He advised, drinking from the pool himself.
"Wash it out've your blood by drinking." he said, before splashing some of the water on the injured leg in attempt to rinse it.

Sauda whimpered as the cool water hit his fur and soaked it's way through. He couldn't move, let alone open his mouth, and when Inyoni told him to drink he couldn't find the strength to move. Very slowly he opened his mouth and just let the water trickle in.
It took a few moments but he soon began to feel better. His stomach had settled greatly after a few more dry heaves and he wasn't as warm as he had been. In fact he had even found a way to sit up, though he was still much too weak to try and move about.
"I don't wanna do that again," the pup complained.
