Jazzie tried to follow her line of sight but saw nothing that jumped out at her as something 'secret' "alright, just a sec." She took her bike off to the bike rack available and locked it up quickly. She threw her wrapper away in a trashcan as she jogged back to Kilayla; she'd finished her icecream as they'd walked.

Kilayla chewed at the edge of her frozen treat, but threw the rest in the trash. She hadn't honestly liked the way it tasted, anyway. She licked tentatively at one of her fingers with a blue tongue, then gestured for Jazzie to come stand closer.
"This hill," Kilayla said, speaking slowly, "has a hole in it." She didn't take her eyes off of said hill for a second. Her hair swayed as she approached it with a very serious look on her face. "Soon enough, I figure I'll be too big to fit, but for now, I'm not, and you certainly aren't."
The hill wasn't large or particularly impressive one. The bushes and trees that grew nearby weren't particularly eye catching either. One of the particularly nondescript bushes is where Kilayla was headed. She felt her eyes glazing over as she approached it, which wasn't unusual for her. She parted the shrubs, and gestured for Jazzie to hurry beneath it, where it could easily be seen, was ...a hole.
The hole led straight back into the darkness.

Jazzie stared at the hill and was decidedly unimpressed. It seemed to be nothing special yet the mixed feeligs of apprehension and excitement grew as she followed Kilayla to the bush and saw the hole. Images from an old cartoon she'd seen swam through her head. She swated at a branch that tried to tangle her hair. "What's down there...?" She asked in a half whisper, not quite able to bring her voice to it's normal level.

Kilayla looked around quickly before squeezing in behind Jazzie, and letting the darkness take over.
"Tunnels," she replied, in an equally quiet tone, urging the smaller girl forward with a nudge. "Tunnels that lead all over. Most of them are dark like this, and most of them have dirt walls like this one."
She coughed a little, and tossed her head to get her hair out of her face.
"Are you afraid of the dark?"

Yes. Yes. Yes yesyesyesyesyesYes! "Naw, I'm good." Jazzie's skin prickled between her shoulder blades where her shirt clung to her dampening skin. She was terrified of the dark. Just having the lights shut off on her was enough to make her scream. Hell if she would admit it though. She crouched and put her face to the hole, trying to detect even a hint of light further in.

After a bit of travel, the tunnel widened enough for Kilayla to come up beside Jazzie, which she did so they'd be crawling shoulder to shoulder. The light from the opening behind them was long gone by now, and the darkness that surrounded them was so thick it was palpable.
"I'm glad you aren't afraid," Kilayla was saying. "I think I understand why some people are, but I find the darkness comfortable, like when you wrap a blanket around you." She made sure to keep part of her body touching Jazzie's at all times.
"Stay near the right of the tunnel. While you're going, there should be a rock you come to, the size of your fist. It's smooth and square."

Jazzie was moving slowly, trying to control her fear as hundreds of evil creatures and monsters and ghosts jumped out at her from every side and pelted her with dirt and mud. She nearly jumped out of her skin when Kilayla touched her shoulder and spoke. "Yeah...I can see that..." Her voice was choked and her breathing shallow. She only nodded when Kilayla told her what to feel for. She slowed her crawl, feeling the ground carefully hoping she'd hit this landmark soon and that it would mean the end of this torture. Sure she'd agreed to go, but now she was unsure of her choice, even if she was still horribly curious about the secret.

TwT I hope you don't hate me...
Kilayla gripped the younger girls arm when the finally came upon the rock. Her eyes were open wide in the darkness, but it didn't help her to see any better, obviously.
She stood, and helped Jazzie up as well.
"Here," Kilayla said, staring wide eyed and blindly at where she knew Jazzie stood, and took Jazzie's hand in her own. She turned and placed it against the small of her back.

I don't hate you one bit Thief ^_^
Jazzie sighed in relief as she got to her feet, carefully feeling above her to prevent hitting her head. To her horror, a small shower of dirt fell onto her hair. She didn't even want to know what she looked like after crawling around in the dirt for so long. Jazzie leaned towards Kiki as she felt her hand placed on the girls back. She was glad for the contact.

^^- "You okay?" Kilayla asked, hearing the dirt come down. Rocks could've fallen with it. After she'd calmed herself and realized it wasn't any kind of cave-in, she turned her blind eyes ahead.
Kilayla thought back to the path she'd mapped out in her head, and chewed her lip thoughtfully as they walked. The last time she'd taken the tunnels from the park, she'd been going very fast, and it was quite possible that she'd passed up a tunnel or two on her way to the Basement.
As Kilayla walked, she dragged one foot along the ground, very near the wall, so she could tell when the tunnel opened out. The only solution she could think of was to go farther than she thought she should, just to see if the tunnel branched out anywhere else.
"Hey!" she said, kind of abruptly. "Do your parents know where you are?"

'I'm alright. I just knocked some dirt down..." Jazzie ran a hand through her pony tail knocking some of the looser clumps out of it. Her other hand she kept on Kilayla's back, clinging to her clothing. She startled when Kilayla spoke. "My parents? Oh, Dizzy. Probably not. She wasn't in a good mood so I just left. She doesn't worry too much about me though, normally I have Badru with me." In fact it had been quite a while since she'd gone anywhere without the feline. It shocked her that she hadn't thought about him since they entered the cave. He'd been too big to follow them in easily.

"Oh. Well, maybe I should ask this way. How long would it take for them to notice if you were missing?"
Kilayla could see in her mind's eye that they were approaching the tunnel they should turn into. As she and Jazzie came upon it, she had that feeling of the cave opening out, as if it had suddenly gotten bigger. She ignored it and continued past.

Jazzie thought a moment. "I'm not sure really. I'm not going to worry about it though. I'm in no hurry go get back." Kilayla's questions made her nervous. How long did she plan on being down in these tunnels? Jazzie glanced to the side as she felt the opening of another tunnel. She shuddered picking up her pace as they passed it. Who knew what was down in these tunnels aside from Kilayla and her. She tried not to think about it.

too long? ^^- heh.
"Well, that's good, anyway." Kilayla flipped her hair out of her face, and chewed the inside of her lip for few seconds as they walked. Shortly, she was presented with another tunnel that led back into pitch darkness. She noticed that the ground beneath her feet was sloping down. She certainly didn't remember this.
"And you won't have to worry about it, but it's still--" Kilayla began, only to stop short, both in her sentence and in her step. Jazzie, being close behind, bumped into her, causing her to overbalance. Kilayla turned to grab onto Jazzie's sleeve so she could correct her balance, but only succeeded in bringing the smaller girl stumbling and careening down an incredibly steep slope with her.
As she fell, Kilayla could only think, Well, this is it. Sigh.
However, after a few seconds she landed at the bottom of the slope with a muted but scary sounding thump, and there was an explosion of light that lit up her vision to accompany the surprising pain she felt in her chest. She didn't even have time to cry out before Jazzie landed on her.

Jazzie adjusted her step as the floor slanted. They were going deeper? She cried a little on the inside. Before she knew it she bumped into Kilayla and felt a tug toppling her over. She screamed as they rolled down, she could feel her jeans tearing at the knees and down the back. Almost as soon as that registered as anger her fall was stopped. She blinked the stars away from her eyes though in the darkness it didn't matter. She laid still for a moment. She was on her stomach and from what she could tell, not seriously injured. She'd probably have some burns and bruises. She propped herself up on her elbows only then realizing that Kilayla was beneath her. "Oh!" She rolled off of her quickly, sitting up and wincing just a tiny bit. "Are you alright?"
