And here I sit on Christmas eve,
'tis already quarter past two.
I wish I could open my presents,
They're just in the next room.
My parents said I have to wait,
For them to see morning light.
I do not think that I can do it,
This urge, I cannot fight.
I want to rip the paper,
To tear the wrapping to shred.
Instead I sit here writing
poetry, in my bed.
Yea, so my English 12 teacher assigned us this thing where over Christmas break we're supposed to make ourselves a "Poetry Portfolio". Since I hate poetry and can't write it worth beans, I'm just gonna wing it. This will end up being my 10th or eleventh poem, and I don't have any paper here to write on, so I'm going to write here. ^^ I fail at the interwebs! And that thing some people talk about... I think it's "liphe"

Your poetry is fine,
and I know what you mean,
Sometimes it's hard
living this life
Homework stretches the limits
Of what can and can not be done
Weakens the bridges
Many kids have built
It stomps through the imagination
Tearing up the place as it goes
Hear it roar
Is that it
Over there?
By your toes?

Creativity
the walls close in on me
Blocking
me off from the outside
World
forcing me to think within
Myself
which is where I am the most
Afraid

What about a lymerick fine? Something simple to pass the time. Not too hard to do, So easy for you! Three eights and two fives on a line!
