well, my youth pastor told us a story on sunday about himself when he was in college. he was short on money, and couldnt pay his bills. when he went to church there was a man talking about his minstry. he felt led to give 5 dollars, even though that was all of his money, everything he had, even in the bank... so, he gave it. after church a man gave him an envelope. he didnt really think much of it, thought it would just be $20 or something. he went down the road a little way, then he opened it up. inside was the exact amount of money he needed for his bills plus his $5. down to the penny.
well after hearing that story, we went to "big church" and they passed the offering plate around. i was only going to give $25 but i felt led to give $40... i got a check from someone, who i raked their lawn, but i didnt look at it till later. when i looked at it, it was $50...

God kind of has a knack for doing that. And for going overboard. If I haven't learned that God provides this semester, I really havent' learned much.

Glory to God man. Tithing works. I've seen it first hand too. I make it a point to give God his share of everything I get. And then give a little more. smile It makes me feel really good to give to him. "I have never seen the righteous forsaken, or his seed begging bread" forgot the book and scripture number... sweatdrop
