Sorry, I didn't mean to sound, well, mean or anything like that. So, if I did, I appologise. ^_^.

Hrm... This is getting Awfully close to Breaking one of the rules of the guild.
"Do not argue with a hard heart" I am very glad that Jettrick and Donelle could find a place that they could agree on. Everyone of us has oppinions that should be respected. All of us are also here because we love Doctor Who and all its spawn, so please remember that... I wouldn't let someone stay if they were just here to flame the show and/or us. Its just that some of us apriciate the show in different ways then others. The rest of you: Please do not fan the flames of meaness. It sounds cliche and silly but nobody wins when everyone insists that they are right. What would The Doctor say?
I think he'd say we where all stupid bickering apes

It was just a stupidly pointless idea which Russel used to get people to keep watching the show-there was absolutely NO reason for it to be chasing them through time, let alone no decent explanation given for how it did so. So Rose could what? Change history when the tardis got inside her head? Change her perception of history? Who actually cares? Rose would have gone back and saved the Doctor no matter what because of the 'relationship' that Russel pushed even more than the Bad Wolf schtick. So okay it was following them, but why does she suddenly realise it's a 'message' to herself? Why doesn't she naturally assume it's STILL just following them about like it has done FOR THE WHOLE FREAKING SEASON??? Why does she even send herself such a stupid and indecipherable message in the first place? Why oh why didn't they make this device something genuinely decent instead of just a stupid marketting ploy to hook the audiences? Call me cynical but at the end of the day, that's what I feel it was. In years to come when people watch the episodes it'll make even less sense and the whole series could well have done without it.

Blah stare

I agree that RTD could have used better words, or could have explained the whole thing better. I mean, why those words? I know they have cultural references and stuff, but that wasn't explained on the TV Show.

Well, it's quite easy. Its an ouroborous (the snake forever eating it's own tale) of paradoxical proportions.

Rose puts two and two together Re:Bad Wolf and realises that somehow, these words mean that if Bad Wolf exists in 2006 and also in the far future, then she can find a way to get to THE Bad Wolf in the future and help the Doctor. She sees the words as a link between time zones.

So she opens the heart of the TARDIS and absorbs the power of the Time Vortex into herself and travels to the future. With her mind 'enlightened' by the ability to control and see Time, the Universe and all possible existence, she becomes aware that the letters Bad Wolf are actually a paradox. By trying to decipher the message, she is the one who will create it so she can open the heart of the TARDIS so she can go to the future and send the words scattering through Time and Space and so on and so forth.

Why does she choose the words Bad Wolf? Again, it's a paradox, the words she sends back in time are because they are the words that Time-Rose (as good a name as any for the Time Vortex Empowered Rose) sends back throughout Time and Space so Rose will end up opening the TARDIS. She can't make the message clearer because she has to ensure that her past self doesn't change time and thus stop her from doing all that she does. The words aren't following them because Time Rose is scattering them through time and space like a seed of bread crumbs and so towards the end of the series, she and the Doctor realise that the words may mean something. Time Rose is setting up her own past to ensure that she will open the TARDIS and save the Doctor.

"I am the Bad Wolf, I create myself."

I still stand by my belief Rose would have found that way back to the doctor with or without a pair of creepy words stalking her o.o I never in any way meant to suggest that the idea detracted from the quality of the show, merely that it all ended being a lot more convoluted than it perhaps needed to be.

But hey, this is Who. Satisfactory explanations for temporal phantasmagora need not apply xD

Is there any particular reason David Tennant looks like he's recently escaped from a secure unit on that cover? o.O
