For a large portion of Labor Day Weekend my TV has been on VH-1 Classic, watching the 80 hours of 80's music videos--in alphabetical order! mrgreen They're up to "S".

Well, I've been going through old videos I recorded somewhere around 1997 for Animaniacs & Darkwing Duck episodes that neither Warners nor Disney have seen fit to release.
I've also got Buffy season 7 on the back burner. There's something hugely creepy about watching Mal from Firefly playing an uber villain and poking out people's eyes and things... *shudders*
Right now it's digital radio channel hopping. Mojo currently has my attention, as they're playing "Rio".

Good choice! I've not seen that show in years. I was going to see the movie, but then having watched the trailer, decided it would probably trample on my childhood like "Starsky & Hutch" did, so I left well enough alone. Waiting for Warner Home Video to have the distribution rights for the Man from UNCLE (and to release single series boxsets, suitable for shipping to the UK). DW

Speaking of trampling on your childhood, how is the new Knight Rider series turn out? I've only seen the commercials for it... the new KITT doesn't look as cool as the Trans Am KITT from the original series. One thing I noticed while rewatching Get Smart: in several scenes it's obvious that Barbara Feldon is a little bit taller than Don Adams. I wish I hadn't spotted that, because now it really distracts me whenever I see a scene where 86 appears taller than 99, since I'm always wondering 'Is she slouching, or is Adams standing on a box?' I also got a kick out of seeing Leonard Nimoy play a KAOS flunky in one episode. On a tangentially-related note, are they ever going to release the rest of Inspector Gadget (the original cartoon) on R1 DVD?!

I've only seen the commercials for it... the new KITT doesn't look as cool as the Trans Am KITT from the original series. That hasn't made it to the UK yet. I was such a fangirl of the original, there's no way I'm watching the new one. As if the Knight Rider 2000 TV movie didn't trample enough - although I do love Pontiac Banshees smile RogueModron I also got a kick out of seeing Leonard Nimoy play a KAOS flunky in one episode. He gets everywhere. He and Shatner were in an episode of the Man from UNCLE, too. RogueModron On a tangentially-related note, are they ever going to release the rest of Inspector Gadget (the original cartoon) on R1 DVD?! I thought you guys had already had the complete season 1? I think I've a video somewhere with a few episodes from season 2, but since half the cast changed, I was suddenly less interested. Naturally, they couldn't get rid of Don Adams, but I think Penny & Chief Quimby changed - and maybe even Doctor Claw... DW

The R1 DVD set only has the first 22 episodes, so it's only about 1/3 of season 1. I'm not sure I ever saw season 2, as I don't remember any of those changes. Then again, I was completely confused when I popped in the first DVD and saw Gadget sporting a moustache! Thankfully it was only in the pilot episode... sweatdrop Anyway, you apparently won't be missing much by skipping out on the new Knight Rider (if it ever shows in the U.K.). The critics have been pretty harsh in their reviews. One of my co-workers was trying to get me to watch the new season of Heroes, but I remain recalcitrant.

I'm not gonna bother with the new Knight Rider, but the new season of Heroes is even more kick-a** than the last two (despite the last one ended rather abruptly due to the WGA strike). Also: WTF @ new forum/post layout?

Well now that I have a 3 month holiday, there is no Who!!?!?
I think I'll just rent out a billion dvds and watch them all probably. I'd love to get my hands on a collection of the original series...
Not really any good TV series here at the moment! I hardly ever watch stuff any more... just not worth it. dvds it is. I've been borrowing all these ones of my english friend, a lot of comedian stuff like Dave Gorman, Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran, Daniel Kitson, Tim Minchin (Australian yay) etc, and also that show QI. Come on, why can't Australia have a decent quiz show like that QI?! scream
I'd like to see some more Jonathan Creek as well, so much better than those lame CSI and other various crime investigation s*@!... Mainly because in Jonathan Creek they just *happen* to encounter all these elaborately covered up murders, and then the explanation behind the whole thing is always so obscure and bizarre (= entertaining trying to guess what it is). And there's absolutely no way you'd ever be able to guess what happens. Plus I think Alan Davies is pretty cool.
Ugh I just ate WAY too much food blerghhhhh and what was I thinking, end of school beach trip next thursday, that means bikini. Not a good idea to overeat sweatdrop
