I liked some of the themes in this ep, but some of it was dull. Eugene reminded me a little too much of Elton in Love and Monsters...

Twisted Davros
A truly awful episode. Dull, uninvolving, overly preachy, badly written. Hardly comparable to the masterpiece that was Countrycide.

Countrycide? A good episode? The only thing good about that pile of trash was the name.

Random Shoes was way better. It was quite similar to Love and Monsters, true, but to me, that's not a bad thing. (anyone besides me think L&M is waaaaay underrated?)

It was quite sad in parts, and just a very good episode.

...They changed the name. They changed the effing name?!

First I see it and it's "Random Shoes". A fitting title to the episode.

Then the guide on my tv says that the title is "Invisible Eugene". WTF, man?

It's an okay episode, mostly, and then they give it something similar to Love & Monsters...UGH!

And I didn't think Countrycide was better than this one. They both rated a two on my scale. >.< Only we needed more Jack and less Gwen. He showed up for all of two minutes in the episode, and that was a scene involving death. Go figure. rolleyes

So.. yeah, next week's episode is ten times better than this, I promise. ^^

Well.... I must say I didn't really think much of that episode. It was over, and I still wasn't even sure if Gwen could hear/see Eugene or not (yes, I can be a little dense sometimes) It wasn't really my taste at the time because I was hoping for something that scared the hell out of me like Countrycide, but it is quite well written. I didn't get a preview for the next ep on my station though stare

Countrycide, Oh god I couldnt stand that episode, scared the crap outta me, I couldnt sleep at all after seeing that episode.

When I first saw Love and Monsters I just sorta thought W...T....F?, I guess I needed my Tennant fix (sorry for the fangirl ness) and I didnt get it, which made me dislike the episode at first, but when I got the S2 boxset I went back and rewatched the episode, I now its gotta be one of my favourites.
As for random shoes, Brilliant, I for one needed a break from all the torchwood gore blood'n guts sex, that was series 1.
as for those people who don't like it because it wasnt as, well harsh as other episodes, the writers are just trying to reach a wider audience, not every one likes gore you know.*shiver*

Sorry about the incredible latness of post xp I just, rewatched that episode a few weeks ago and felt that I had some stuff to say.
