TallonDagmar The FLCL Guy Thats not what Im talking about, Im trying to say that things can be called so many things and sense someone was taught the wrong name doesnt not void his knowledge. yeah. you mean how you can call em curtains, call em drapes, call em climbing toys for cats, doesn't change what they are, even though some people would argue that it has to be one way and it's the only way because it's theirs. right? Exactly

Fair enough. But then, put another way, wouldn't using a particular term raise little red flags sometimes about the reliability of a person's sources? I mean, I personally have started running like hell away from anyone who uses the term "harmonic convergence"...in part because I think that's a myth, but mainly because the people who use it tend to be rote-speaking followers of something that smacks of cultishness.
In other words, like everything else, you can ask to be extended the benefit of the doubt, but don't in turn demand that nobody else give you the benefit of their experience. A willingness to learn and expand horizons must always be a respectful joint effort.
