i've heard that masturbating is wrong and i stopped for a while but then started doin it again.. is it possible to be addicted to masturbation b/c if it is then i think i am. i feel so guilty after but i keep on.. is this wrong?? confused

If it keeps you away from God, its a sin. If you lust during masturbation or because of it, because lust is a sin, masturbating can be a sin. Addiction is a hard thing to break. I think it's pointless for these 'confessionals' with others if your doing it for salvation. Don't get me wrong, if you want to tell someone your sins to simply to seek help or counseling, or to simly get it off your chest, then by all means do it. But there is only one being who can wash away sins, and he is no man. I hate to call this 'my opinion' since I feel in my heart that it is a fact. Confess to God, but you can share it with friends.

It says nothing about being homosexual, just... um, yeah. I think you got it. xd lol but still having that state of mind is also a sin Yeah but isn't it better to have the urge to steal, but not? Isn't it better to turn away when you want to punch someone? And the list can keep on going on the sinful state of minds we have, but we don't have to give in to.

I don't think that these are pointless. Although telling the internet your sins does make me a bit shaky. I'm not too big on letting a lot of people know what my sins are because after they are forgiven they are supposed to be forgotten, and I would simply prefer for them not to be where people can see them and remember them.
What I do see as helpful about this is that a good portion of the people out there don't know exactly how to overcome their sins or simply just need some encouragement so that they have the confidence to overcome their sins. The Bible says that God won't allow us to be tempted by anything we are unable to handle, but if we are stuck in the mentality that we can't handle it than it becomes much harder for us to overcome our sins (speaking from recent personal experience)
