Disgrace? no! Not all of us are rich, there's no way we can wear lolita every day, as much as we'd all like to. I wear pants often even though I'd like to wear skirts...I pretty much have to in the winter; here in Michigan the snow, wind and -20 degree weather is not good for skirts. Not to mention my 18 year old car doesn't warm up too quick...

I think she might just be a bit arrogant about being different; I imagine this would decrease as she matures a little.

honestly i laughed a little when i heard this.

wearing pants doesn't make you a disgrace, alot of people only wear lolita on certain days...and when you live in the land of -30 degrees its kind of a good idea to wear pants...

She wouldn't wear lolita then, the skirts should be ankle length if you're dressing for religious beliefs (penticostal, quaker/shaker, amish, etc.)

It's not a disgrace to wear pants. She doesn't have to dress like a lolita every day of her life. That'd be pretty expensive anyways.

wow... she's way too serious about the matter... I dress loli-ish... maybe once or twice a week... it's expensive, and I don't always have time or the attention span to wash the bit I have... (9/10 times, I handwash them to avoid breakage, and such)

This is one point from the Japanese I readily apply to typical American life -- in America, pretty much, if you don't wear a certain type of fashion ALL the time (ie. punk), then you're a poser. But in Japan, you can still be part of a fashion subculture even if you don't wear it ALL the time.

I like this idea better. XD

Part-time loli is perfectly fine. Sometimes it's not the most practical thing to wear, and since we're not Momoko *and she's not real*, not wearing loli every available moment is fine.

I will admit, no, I don't like wearing pants, and I feel a tad bit self-concious in them -- I look like a boy then. XD -- but I'm not going to run around in a skirt if it's pouring rain and insanely cold outside.

End moronic rambling.
