A simple theory of Kold and the author of the aforementioned. Since Kold does not know everything about The Herald and his powers or weapons since he isn't Ms. Cleo that is how his mind says it should happen.
Kold was about to turn his opponent inside out. Even if all his powers were, in Kold's mind illegal, gifts from an outside divine source. This was for more than the money. Whatever this thing was needed to be taken down a few notches.
Incase he hadn't figured it out already, that white light was a shield of sorts. Kold's body had opened seven out of eight gates, activated his bloodline as far as he could make it go, and just received a massive amount of power from the past 1,500 years. A lot of power to say the least. His internal power was so great it could be seen outside his body.
His bloodline had created an energy void within the arena. In truth, it actually locked all a being's power away inside of them so no power could enter or leave the body. The Herald could call upon his god all he wanted, all he'd get was a busy signal. No manipulation, receiving, or giving of power could happen to anyone caught in that blast of blinding light. Divine beings included. The body became a locked vault of energy with a shield forming around the affected made of whatever couldn't be held, but since The Herald had no energy, no shield would form. In his author's own words The Herald had no energy. With no energy or a source to get it from he'd die rather quickly.
As for the staff. Well with time returning and all it would either be "un-summoned" or break from time catching up to it. Of course with no more time manipulation abilities it meant that Kold's avian opponent could not do such a movement without breaking every bone in his body since the G-forces generated would turn him to pulp.
In sort of a twisted irony Kold's opponent would be filled with pain and then numbness from time returning to normal without him controlling it. Just like he had done earlier, but on a far grander scale since he had been defying time far longer than Kold had been in that bubble and probably been alive.
Of course since his body had experienced Temporal flows for so long he wouldn't be ripped to shreds. By the time flows anyhow. So instead of swinging a possibly dispersed staff a great deal of pain would shoot through his body instead. Of course with no more divine gifts and time coming back to him for all he had avoided this was probably going to hurt more than either of them could imagine.
Kold was faster than he might think too. Underestimating him was a very big mistake. He had been created and bred to be nothing short of a god. Arrogance was the downfall of many.
Now came the fun part.
Since neither Kold or his opponent could use their powers it was going to be pure melee from here on out. With the bird man flying along so fast and unable to stop or perform any of those fancy movement described above he would continue until the floor, a wall, ring out, or something else stopped him.
Kold's ears just about perked up when he saw where the voices were coming from. Oh the fun he could have with that. The fun he would have with it as well.
As the mass of orange and feathers went by as Kold vaulted through the air to turn halfway around and tap the wrist of his left glove with the right hand. From just in front of the padding on the back of the glove shot a single line of nearly invisible razor wire. It was able to cover 100 feet a second.
Kold landed with the balls of his feet with nothing but a small "pat" and a little dust from the landing. From the change in height the razor wire was more horizontal in it's path now as sixty feet had left Kold's glove.
Upon impact it would simply rip and tear at whatever it hit with this being able to take a man's head off with ease. A quarter inch hooked barb adorned the front of the line a half inch from the tip so if anything was pierced it stayed pierced.
Some clear liquid coated the line. When in direct sunlight a rainbow would show in a puddle of it. That liquid served two purposes.
Kold stood somewhat bladed at a 45-degree angle with his left side forward and right back. Looking straight forward as his now powerless opponent was about to gets just about every bone in the body broken while having razor wire shot into his left shoulder. Left arm out with the fist angled for the index knuckles to be slightly higher.
His right hand reached into a small pouch on his hip to retrieve a kunai with a shortened handle and a ring. His index and middle fingers along with the thumb grasped this handle and ring as his shoulder went back a little in the stance he took during target practice minus his arm being out. His bare skin did not touch the blade which glistened as if it had been recently polished or other thin coat of liquid.
He would beg for death.

Tghere is beauty in the passive effects of not belonging to a timeline. The greatest of these is a variable 'speed setting' to be determined upon entry into the timeline itself. Furthermore, when one does not belong to a timeline they must be held by a tether beyond the realms of space and normal manipulation. This poor man had tried to steal Sent's magical strength, but in doing so was also taking away the limiters that caused him to be able to slow down from his higher 'speed setting' in order to interact with the world around him.
The staff remained, just as an object creatyed through magic as a permanent effect stays when placed in an antimagic field. It retained all its qualities and simply became slightly less indestructable and unable to focus kinetic energy through time, though that effect was mostly through Sent's guidance anyhow. Apparently the way in which it was stopped in time was different than the way the eddies and sphere were altered. Furthermore, as the avian being is accustomed to temporal flows, he would not in fact be harmed or even find discomfort in the temporal shifts around him. He was, after all, the chosen Herald of a Time God, and one would think that a messenger would need to be able to readily shift through differential timelines.
The avian did not in fact fly past Kold, his actions being performed as described. How? Because he wasn't moving ungodly fast in terms of inertia and momentum as we know it. This different 'speed setting' allowed him to move faster by simply not being in sync with the timeline and moving faster than everyone else as a passive effect. Almost like how a hummingbird moves faster than most beings but is in complete control of its own actions.
The air trembled in the wake of the swift staff movements as Sent's eyes followed Kold perfectly. He almost seemed to watch the man and see him before he even moved, but this was merely a trick of the time differential. The glow about a large portion of his body began to fall away, albeit more slowly than "instantly" because of the time differnetials applied to the energy shield's existance. The robes slipped away as the staff moved to intercept Kold's motion in midleap. The staff whirled up to either impact the nin in the side and sending him flying with incredible force or to enter a spin that would block Kold's line of sight to the avian, disrupting the razor wire attack against the man by tangling it up aroudn the staff. Should this fail Sent would seem to throw himself into the path of the razor wire, altering his stature and position so it would strike his breastplate and either bounce off harmlessly or become lodged in the armor a quarter of an inch in and nothing more.
It would be noted here that poisons, toxins, and hallucinagens would not affect The Herald as it would any normal being. There was some sort of protection built into his body through his existance in this timeline by a static timestream. Furthermore, his form was altered and crafted as a permanent effect to be resilient to most effects of that kind by a fundamental change to his biological structures. It would quickly become quite clear that this was not a birdman born, but a deific being created and carefully crafted.
Perhaps taking away powers was the worst thing Kold had done, for now Kold was powerless save for his melee prowess and his opponent was a speed demon on crack.

One would also think your not immune to something you can't control.
An anti-magic field is just a reverse flow of magical energies and cancels out everything lesser or equal to it's power. Anything stronger than the field is weakened substantially since it would be constantly combating the anti-magic. There is also several types of anti-magic, but that is for a later date and another conversation.
He would get in sync with the timeline or go "poof" from the arena. Since energy manipulation, giving, or receiving was not possible for the either of them then Sent wouldn't be able to receive that holding line that somehow kept him alive without being apart of any timeline. Without any timeline though it meant Sent had never been born. How could something with no creation even exist? What was going on here?
The avian may have been accustomed to temporal flows, but having no more ability to control them and a surprise at that could induce a severe amount of pain. After all, if Kold were to use his energies to create spikes of power and one hit him or got reflected it would still affect him. Same thing for bird-boy.
It was time for Sent to either return to his corporal form before he had been "selected". This would be like returning to earth after a long moonwalk. Of course since power was not instantly stripped away and had to fade off then some of that happened. Or leave the arena to return to his timeless timeline unable to receive the lifeline to hold him here, if still able to have some kind of lifeline then it would be rather faint.
He hadn't leaped either, a vault was a near vertical jump with a load of power behind it. Acrobatics and gymnastics were trained in along with combat since those skills are useful in his line of work.
If Sent here tried using any of that power he would get a real bad internal energy burn. Something unrepairable.
Hummingbirds are able to fully control their movements because of lifelong practice and biology. Nothing to do with time shifts since Sent would be going to a different one in mid-swing. Going from a different timeline and doing a movement in the middle of it is far different than staying in one timeline and just moving fast.
Now if Sent was physically endowed, so be it. By all means he could be fast, strong, or both. Time no longer obeyed him though. After Kold stopped his bloodline or he went back to his time then yes he would, but for now Sent would have to deal with Kold's timeline.
Kold was a lithe one and that staff was coming nowhere near him. A quarter inch into the chest plate resounded with a clang or whatever noise that thing made when colliding with metal at high speed. How he twisted like that was a mystery.
That liquid was turbine lube. It helped the little gizmo in his glove not lock up and shred his arm to pieces with razor wire bursting from his hand. The kunai came up and slashed across the top of the wire sending sparks up in the air and severing it from his glove. Sparks ignited the wire as the whole thing was up in flames just about instantly as the nin's arm had come across his body from the strike and right arm flung out to nail Sent right in the hollow of the throat. Where Kold assumed that was anyhow since he wasn't an expert on man-bird anatomy.
As all razor wire in Kold's glove is stored coiled, there was now a very sharp whip moving very quickly towards Sent's body with the release of pressure on the wire. Some nice cutting was expected since the wire would just coil around whatever it smacked, Sent was a nice center for that coil.
The kunai was coated with a two part drug, but having no knowledge of his biology Kold figured it would work. The drug wasn't biologically altering in any way. It was a really fast acting laxative for the first part, poisons can be treated and extracted, but laxatives are not something usually checked for. That and feeling as if your bowels are going to explode out of your body is a good distraction. So if that worked or not was a question seeing as how all it did was release a chemical found in the brain that told you it was time to "unload"
The second part was a powerful constipate. This might have worked on Jack Schitt which would have been cool to see, but being constipated so much you could open a soda can with your a**s while everything is trying to ram it's way out has actually caused opponents to stop fighting for easy pickings. The worst one was the time a guy actually had his rectum become external from that "cocktail".
Left arm came around as the "rectile projectile" whizzed through the air in toe of the razor wire since tunnel vision was also hoped for since the larger object going for near the face and vital area was usually concentrated on more than something you couldn't even see. The wire reaching Sent was done in less than a second; if you have ever cut a string inside a piano you will know how fast this happens and just how powerful it is. If you have not done this, don't . It will take your arm and other parts of your body clean off before you even realize it.
Kold's body centered itself as his arms went back to his sides with the left having dug into it's pocket to retrieve something looking like a Tic-Tac box. Thumb popped the top as months worth of red soldier pills, thirty four pills exactly, filled Kold's mouth and were promptly swallowed. There were three blue pills and one white one within those thirty-four.
There was a reason there was only one white pill. Sent would find that out as Kold's final gate opened up. The Death Gate. Once all open the gates release a flood of power and 100% of the body is used and death comes to those who open that last gate. Kold was different though, he had been designed for this kind of stuff. Designed to get stronger from escaping death, regenerate faster too. He knew death wasn't inescapable.
He looked insane. After all those pills he probably was.
The white glow around Kold faded into him with a deafening silence. Sent wasn't leaving here alive, even if it killed him.

The temporal flows has been addressed and will not be addressed again, despite assumptions made of Sent's nature. Furthermore, if the tether is beyond this world how can Kold even hope to affect it with or without magic? Oh, thats right, he can't unless he himself goes outside the timeline and finds some way to alter such connections. Does a being travelling to another plane of existance simply wink out when entering a nullified magic zone? The answer is no, by the way, unless the being is conjured by a nonpermanent summoning spell.
When the razor wire was cut the staff spun around to intercept the oncoming wire in midflight. Less than a second was more than enough time to observe the motions of the assault combined with the oncoming kunai projectile. The wire would strike the staff and wrap around it rather violently as the opposite end whirled back to strike the kunai and send it flying. Even as flames engulfed his robes from the trail down the wire Sent's form burst into the air. Tattered and flaming pieces were left falling to the ground as The Herald's majesty was unveiled. During removal the wire seemed to have slipped free of the breastplate, now trailing down to the ground.
Kold would more than likely begin thinking he was having a stroke as the scent of burning feathers filled his nostrils. Oddly enough, however, every feather across his body looked pristine, not a single one anywhere burnt in the slightest. With wings now holding him aloft at around fifty feet he glanced down to Kold awaiting the nin's next action whilst wondering the area of effect of Kold's negative energy field. Unless it had a 340ft radius there had to be somewhere in the legal area he could go in order to mock the man and have his fun toying with him.

Of course since energy was entering this plane of existance it interacted with Kold's void-like power. It could freely enter all it wanted, but not be used or go into Kold or his now nude opponent. Simple enough?
As for Sent's powers working anywhere? He had been caught near the epicenter of a "void bomb" for lack of a better term. They weren't coming back anytime soon. An hour or so before an ebbing return unless Kold stopped it beforehand.
Those milky white eyes glared at Sent as he moved skyward. He couldn't get that high on his own, but wouldn't need to either. A massive power raged within the pyschotic nin as he was going to finish this with his hands.
Right arm exteded outwards pointing at Sent in a fist during his rise. When he stopped Kold whacked the wrist as another line of near invisible razor wire came from Kold's glove, but with no barb. It wasn't alone though. Four other came out to the sides away from Sent unseen. Ankle and shoulder level with one on each side. They curved inwards ever so slightly.
That white glow became blinding as the earth near Kold's feet shook.

Being covered in feathers kinda removed the whole need for clothing, it was mostly a cultural thing for being around humans, that and they were ceremonial robes of his Order. By the time the razor wire crossed half the distance between the avian and Kold the figure would already have moved. His speed on land was incredible, but his reaction times in the air were unmatched by any other airborne foe.
The ground shattered as he struck down, his momentum transfering down through his body before he left the ground once more with a powerful spring of his legs. In but a mere moment the avian was nintey degrees to the left of where he had been in Kold's perspective, waiting for the next assault upon his person. The staff spun lazily in his hands, blurring in its motions as he contemplated the wire that was slighing off from it.

Kold's author had no more time for Gaia due to his father hating the site. Rather than slash with the razor wire as intended, kold's author was going to end the fight now since he didn't feel like wasting everyone's time anymore.
Kold's heart skipped a little and stopped as the massive power inside him ,unable to be used, overwhelmed his system causing the equivilant of a heart attack as a white light erupted form around him as a "void bomb" went off again with all that power getting released as the nin's body dropped to the ground.
Massive power surge as the maniopulatory ban would be relased when the bomb ended. Several megatons went off with enoguh strength to take Sent and put him through the wall as well as a few cars.

The force of the blast certainly wasn't enough to kill the Avian, especially as he began reacting to the lack of anti-manipulation while the blast was occuring. His body would lock itself in its position in a form of temporal stasis.
Even if Sent was pushed out of the ring eventually, Kold was out of the fight.
