Pull Me Under! I was addicted to that song for a while. The last solo at 6:06 if I remember correctly is one of my all-time favorite guitar solo's.

Well i was listening to some of the stuff i listen to, i think it was kamelot at the time, and my dad said he had something i might like, and lent me Scenes From a Memory. I unfortunately had little time to sit down and listen to it.. but once i did.. i was hooked. I now own all of their studio albums.. and i love them all.

My half-boyfriend (don't ask) was listening to them. I steal his bands due to his generally fantastic taste, so I bought "Awake" and I loved it.
I proceeded to collect the rest of the albums.

It was actually hearing about the band from a friend up in New York. He gave me Wait for Sleep to listen to, and I immediately fell in love with the band. >.>3 years later, I have quite a few of their CD's and I'm dying to go to one of their concerts. The second song I heard by them that kind of got me really interested in the band was Under a Glass Moon.

My buddy Eric bet me 20 bucks he could get me hooked on them after one CD. So he lent me his Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence and of course, Glass Prison pops up. Done. Gave him his 20 bucks and took his bootlegged cd until I could afford my own and the rest is history. Since then I've gotten alot of people hooked and had many conversations with that man over it.

How have I not posted in this thread yet?
My introduction to DT was through my friend Matt. Over the years our musical tastes have deviated wildly, but back then he was into what I considered "cool music." He downloaded the song "The Dance of Eternity" for me, and it was like... you know the "Star Gate" scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey? It was like that. It literally blew my mind. That was my introduction to Dream Theater and good music in general.
I went out and bought SFAM immediately and became hooked. When 6DOIT came out, I bought it on a whim. I heard "The Glass Prison" and my jaw hit the floor. After I picked it up again, I listened to disc 2, and wasn't as impressed; I put it away until months later when I remembered (or realized) how awesome the first 4 tracks are.
After that I bought Awake and A Change of Seasons. The former is still my favourite overall DT album, and the latter was awesome for 3 reasons: 1. Derek Sherinian 2. the 23-minute epic title track 3. the cover of Led Zeppelin's "The Rover," "Achilles Last Stand," and "The Song Remains the Same" at a live show
Then I got Train of Thought, and it rocked my socks off (I still can't find the left one). Then I got Images and Words, and "Metropolis Pt. 1" became one of my favourite DT songs. Then I got Falling Into Infinity, listened to it a couple times, and then put it away and never really looked at it again. Then I got Octavarium, and was largely unimpressed except for a few tracks (notably the title track). Then I got Systematic Chaos, and I haven't listened to it enough to make a solid judgment, but I liked it a lot the first couple times. Still haven't gotten around to picking up WDADU.
Also I got the Live at Budokan DVD for my birthday a year or two ago, and my life hasn't been the same since. I still want the Live in Tokyo/5 years in a LIVEtime and Metropolis 2000: Scenes from New York DVDs.

I was introuced to DT by my friend nate, whom he and a group of our friends banded together and formed their own and who they haven't came up with a band name yet. Anyways, i was introduced with Octavarium, thennate gave me acouple other albums like Systematic Chaos, SDoIT. It was alot better then the music i was hooked on to until now.
