I am a : Gamma
I write : Mostly fan fiction at the moment I have a few original ideas but at the moment they’re just that, ideas. I have a few Harry Potter fan fictions going, but there’s only one I’m currently really working on and I use lots of OC’s and it’s a HG/SS (with an above age HG)
Other : Well, English is my second (third actually but my horrible French doesn’t really count) language so I’ve been told I have a few grammar issues as well as spelling, but my spellings-corrector helps me with that.
As I live in Belgium I have a few cultural disadvantages as well like I didn’t really know if people in America knew ‘Ducktape’ so I’d be knocking on your door with those kind of strange questions as well. =)
I also use a lot of OC’s and while I recognize really cliché characters I can’t really tell when they turn ‘Mary-sue’ or when they’re not worked out enough so you’d have to hit me on my head when that goes all wrong…
I don’t really know if my dialogues good because I’ve never had a decent review telling me when I do something wrong or well, whatever. (Besides them complaining about my grammar, but that’s much improved)
I don’t really have any prior experience with a beta so I don’t really have any idea on how to go about this, so I’ll apologize beforehand for my inexperience.

I write : original Fantasy (or any branch of it) or fanfiction for (Naruto, Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Dynasty Warriors, and Kingdom Hearts.)
Other : I want someone to look over my writing, duh. I like it when people tear my writing apart. I've never actually gotten any constructive comments on Fanfiction.net, so here I am looking for critism.
Basically, my spelling kinda sucks but I have spell check so it shouldn't be so bad, I tend to get a little comma happy in my work, and my characters tend to be on the Mary Sue side. Then again Character developement exists so . . . yeah.
Anyway, I hope you come help me . . . eventually.

I write : original science fiction
Other : I've been hard at work writing my sci-fi novel for two years now. I've combed it with spell checking and grammar checking fairly well and have cleaned out almost all of the obvious errors. With that said, I'm looking more for a beta who can focus more upon the errors in the story content. I've read it enough times that I might assume things that readers might not get, hence I need some help.
I also need some viewpoints on description level. While I prefer to keep description to a minimum, I, yet again, might have left too little. Pretty much what I need are other people's honest perspectives on things.

I am a : Gamma
I write : Original fiction – mostly ‘realistic’ and ‘fantasy’, with a good measure of both comedy and sarcasm. I usually work on one project at a time, my current one being a novel (which I am five chapters/sixty-three pages into).
Other : I’m looking for someone who will pretty much be a complete editor and look over basically everything. So that’s grammar, spelling, punctuation, content, the whole nine yards. I’m not horrible with grammar or spelling (God bless spellchecking on MS Word), but it would be good for someone to find the several things that I know I’ve missed. I’ve been told that I do use too many words. Too much telling, not enough showing, y’know? I keep reading these entries that ask for people to pretty much chew them out and be cruel about it, so I might sound wimpy when I say this: I do want hard critiquing, for someone to tell me pretty much every single mistake in what I write. But I want someone who will at least be cordial about it. Be blunt, but don’t be nasty and angsty and all things unpleasant. If we’re gonna work together, I’d like to be friends (feel free to roll your eyes and laugh condescendingly).
P.S. Having a form of instant messaging (i.e. AOL, Yahoo!, MSN/Windows Live) would be amazing.

I am a : Gamma
I write : original (insert genre here) or fanfiction for Fullmetal Alchemist
Other : I am writing a fiction that has OCs in it not as side characters. I try to make my stories diffrent then most and try my hardest to be somewhat original in fanfiction. I try to make my characters seem real. I don't write Slash or Yuri. My story may be strange, however, I try my best to come up with a somewhat logical reason for things. I hate text talk and can't read it well.
I would like a beta with an open mind and one who is somewhat kind and understands my ideas and gives honest critic and tells me what needs fixing Ect... I want to grow and will be ok with what feedback you give me. I would like my beta to be my friend, however, I don't want that to change how you look apon my story.
When it comes to grammer and spelling, I am not the best... So I would like a Beta who can do some of that... I will look it over before I send it to you, fixing some small things and adding stuff.
I have not relly worked with a beta before, however, I know some things that they do....
I don't have all of it written up and it is a long story, however, I may shorten it a bit.

I've decided to put myself on the Gamma list as well, due to a serious lack of motivation and a touch of my-friends-love-me-too-much syndrome.
I am a:
Gamma and Beta
I write:
Original: Stories that I never type that are mostly romance, and some angsty stuff that doesn't deserve to live.
Fanfiction: Harry Potter, some Naruto. I try to do other fandoms occasionally, but they drag me back.
Other: Here's the fun part...
I need a Beta who:
1. Doesn't mind slash, femslash, or het pairings, angst, and assorted things that I would give warnings for before the story.
2. Will annoy me if I'm not posting. I get into slumps and it never gets done.
3. Can tolerate my style, without being over-critical. I am aware that my story is in present tense. I am also aware that there are sentance fragments. I do not want these fixed. Read, and if it doesn't make sense, tell me. Don't complete-sentance-ify them.
4.Will make me aware of gaping plot holes or awkward dialogue/sentances/etc.
5. Can tolerate plausible OOC-ness It all is explained and/or serves a purpose.
I'm fairly good with grammar and spelling. I try to do well with pace and dialogue. I'm a bit lacking with detail, but find some detail to be unnecessary for the story anyway. I'm not going to be heartbroken because a Beta was too tough on me, either. In fact, I would rather have someone who's overcritical than someone who'll coddle me.

I am a : Gamma
I write : Original dark sci-fi/fantasy. I'm currently working on a novel that I've been working on for the past six years or so. It's about a Cop who gets involved in a supernatural case with disastrous results. I've planned to have three books In that series, although I only have 10 chapters of the first book written down. I have some old Gundam Wing, Dragonball Z, and Heralds of Valdemar fanfiction kicking around that need to be finished and set aside. I have Ideas for other works but I want to finish what I've started first. ^^
Other : I want to warn potential Beta's that my rough work is really scattered and confusing as I tend to just write things as they come to me, as well as copying random bits of information and research. I need someone who is very open minded, as my stuff tends to be pretty dark and weird with sexual content. I try to be as realistic and original as possible, but oftentimes I fail miserably. I need someone who can point out plot, grammar, characterization, and punctuation errors.

I write : Original Fiction. Well here's a sample of my work to better describe it (note different section than the one used to get into guild but from the same work)
She adjusted her navy blouse and jacket time and time again when any man had passed her in the specified apparel and after each time she began to feel her anger swell, if no one would stop than she had been sent only to fail and should have never gone from the beginning. Enraged from waiting so long she finally turned and began to walk away when a large hand gripped her shoulder and took her by surprise, in defense she drew her concealed berretta and pulled away from the stranger.
“I’ve been sent to meet you.” The man said calmly, “please tell me why I am here.” She slowly dropped the pistol back into its holster and nodded once then led him into a small café where they were the only customers. Blane didn’t know what to expect after such an odd phone call but he did know how much he valued his life; and that was what drove him to accept what he was about to do. She had said nothing until her latté had been placed in front of her.
Other : Well mostly I need someone to help with my spelling, grammer, punctuation that sort of stuff. Also someone who can help keep the story focused and basically compelling. I want my Beta interested in the writing as well as helping me make it better. I am a sensative person but can accept bluntness because I am myself a blunt person. As long as it is more than 'well this character sucks." or, "this section is horrible why do you even consider this as writing?' so please be a little gentle with my feel goods. That said who wants to help me?
