How about adding "The following rules are subject to change depending on how the GM choses to react" to the front?

okay, this may have been mentioned before but I am too lazy/tired to read the entire thread...
how about putting a LIMIT on the number of times you can vote for yourself per game (even restricting it to just ONCE per game), like the limit on passes? That way it could still be used as strategy but not so much just because people are lazy. I know it would be one more thing to keep track of, though, so this is up to you Meru.

InternalHardDrive Merumiharu How about a limit on voting for yourself? Like you cant do it EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU VOTE? Or no voting for yourself period, counting it as a pass instead. >>; But what if you're the sniper/CK and you feel bad and wish to go to jail so you vote yourself out emo

Surrecrux How about:
- Give people a thread to drop out in a sticky thread for each game. - Remove people after three rounds total, and prevent them from entering the next game. - Each pass or vote for an inactive/jailed/dead person is counted as a day of inactivity.
If you do that, people will be a lot less likely to vote, but if they don't have time to play anymore, they can easily remove themselves from the game.
Yes? The seond rule is unfair, because someone could have trouble accessing a computer to post in the drop-out thread. Besides, if you feel you need to drop out it would be much simpler to just PM the GM

Besides, if you feel you need to drop out it would be much simpler to just PM the GM That, and the fact that these rules would probably just push more people away. Zae gave you so many chances for a reason, so that people wouldn't feel pressured. That way, the game could be more of a fun addition to your day and not the thing that consumed your life.

[Cherry.Wine] o.o But the inactive rule did have the "You can try to appeal for it" thing. Zae's forgiving like that. ^__^ Do you know the trouble it caused?

Mori Bokusochi Merumiharu Dukes ...
Rule 4. - Good as-is.
Rule 9. - Are you counting self-votes as passes or just passes?
Rule 10. - With jailvoting... isn't it a bit obsolete anyhow? Perhaps replacing this rule with "Voting for an inactive, deceased or imprisoned person will result in your vote being considered a pass and will count against your game maximum of three passes."
Rule 13. - Maybe we should modify this; something along these lines: "If you are inactive for three consecutive rounds or a cumulative total of five rounds, you will be removed from the game. Exceptions may be made if prior notice is given or your inability to get on is demonstrated to the GM's satisfaction. Exceptions are subject to the GM's discretion."
9- Counting self voting as a pass 10 - What? Thats what I said... 13. Isnt that what it says? HirunHikari
Okay, first off, #4. I see no problems with the rule. If they don't make it, they don't make it.
Number 9 can be revised to add that voting for yourself or voting jailed or inactive. Not number 10. 10 is different.
10 requires nothing new.
13 should thus forth state that if one misses the rounds they go inactive. Should they go inactive with a good reason, such as camping against will or unable to ask a trustworthy friend, they should debate such with GM and the decision will be made from there. No hassle from any peanut gallery. The GM has the sole choice to allow the person into his/her round, not the people who like to complain other people in the game.
HirunHikari
 4. TY 9. TY 10. TY 13. Thats what it says. But the GM should announce if the are letting people do that at the beginning. I agree with your thoughts about #13, and I in fact did. Back at the start of the game, in the "Rules about game X" thread, I made it clear that people could ask about being let back in. It's a good thing to let people know about in the case that people wish to. Yes it is! *huggles Mori for his forgivy-ness*

Meru, so it caused a small problem with tallying, you have no compulsion to tally the votes, nobody is forcing you to. If you don't want to deal with the problems then tell Mori, I'm sure he'll understand.
