I'm still hesitant to make any judgements yet, but I'll admit that I reckon things look good, from the little time Tennant's been on screen. I hope the first impression proves correct.
I see what you mean about the age thing, Jettrick. xd With the exception of Sylvester McCoy as the seventh doctor (the amount of question marks on that guy's sweater scared me a little). @_@

I'm also glad that they said Tennant will be using his Scottish accent, rather than the more posh one he sounded like he had in the last episode.
I adored Chris in the role and will miss him very much, but I'm also curious to see what Tennant will bring to it. He's funny and seems charming, so who know right?

With holding judgement however it'll take a lot to convince me so he'd better be good else I will have to suffer threw a doctor i dislike while waiting for the next.
