Anyway ya. Like everyone has already said, Kakashi said everyone he loved was already dead. The chances that Rin are alive are slim I believe. My theory is that she died somehow shortly after Gaiden, but don't ask me how. >3> I haven't bothered to think my theory that far through...

I read in another fic that she died just before their sensei became the 4th.

Rin might be alive, a very small chance, but maybe. Who nows, we might incounter her later in the series, maybe a eek crying moment for Kakashi if she comes back. xd But right now, I really see no reason for her to come back.
