I personally think they're pretty even. i mean, photoshop is more advanced and blah blah blah, but you're spending half the time looking for tools. I used it for a web design class and I was trying to make a really simple layout, but I had the hardest time finding the tools I wanted. Paint Shop Pro really is user friendly and easier to learn and master.

 I have used PSP and Photoshop. I think Photoshop is much better if you want to create more advanced graphics. PSP is something more for beginners and hobbyists.
I prefer Photoshop because it has more tutorials, and more brushes available to it. There are somethings that I like about PSP, one of them being the border tool. I haven't figured out how to do borders in Photoshop so I use my PSP.

Uh....I heard fireworks is similar to photoshop. But I barely know anything. I want photoshop but I have no $$.
