I like Mer... she's a lot like me in a lot of ways except for the fact that I'm overly nice. I can be selfish though, and I can be self centered, I can be whinny and I can be bitchy. I think a lot of girls are that way, and a lot of the reasons that her character is what it is is because her character is symbolic.... all of the characters are, and Mer is someone we are suposed to be able to identify with, maybe not sympathize, maybe not even like her, but identify. 3nodding
