As he watched her settle down, his small smile grew and he forgot about the whole issue that started this, almost. Padding slowly closer to her, he settled on his haunces as well, and eyed her downcast gaze. She seemed ready from how she listened and steadied herslef, and so he took the chance that she was ready.
"Kami..." Trailing off suddenly, he cursed mentally before shaking his head, "Please...please look at me..." and with that, he leaned to nudge her cheek upward, a gently guide to hopefully push her to gaze with him. Their conversation wouldn't get very far unless that had that intamate contact, the bond of the gazes and windows to the truth.

-For a moment her eyes squeezed shut, fear and worry lacing her mind, before she followed his soft motion. Lifting her eyes to took his own tentatively, offering as well the gentlest hint of a smile.- "Sorry.."

His copper eyes seemed to water a moment when they met, but he just blinked it off before shaking his head, "Hush Kami..." it was a soft, loving whisper for there was no need for him to speak any lounder. At the moment, their breaths could mix from how close they seemed to be, and he pulled back only slightly to give her the room she might need in the moments to come.
"I love you Kami, with all my heart and all my being, and in these times to come I want you to remember that. Nothing will ever dull the love I hold for you, it will only make it stronger...with each moment I pass with you, I find something new to fall in love with, and it isn't just your accomplishments, for I love your...well I can't call them faults..."
"The only thing I dislike about your situation of becoming a mother Kami, is that I was not there by your side, not there to help you through the pains and the moments where sometimes it overwhelms you so. Be it with dispair...or love," Trailing off for a long moment, he just cleared his dry throat before tentativly adding.
"And...from my time I've thought it over, I've come to realize...that I'd wish it were me to father those cubs, and not some random male who took advantage of you Kami, for no male in his right mind should think it right to let a mother out of a cubs life and accept is as standard..." Shaking his head he finalized, "That last sentence came out wrong..." and so he was silenced.

-Golden ears caught each whispered word as she listened in soft awe, silent even had she wanted to talk. The very weight of the words, carried on the tender infliction was enough to make the lioness want to curl up in his warmth and never leave it. But then.. it hadn't been him coming for forgiveness. And so easily he himself had forgiven.
The later words stung softly, as she realized that still he blamed Tefu, and as his statement only fueled on her own guilt about leaving the two. But she couldn't have expected any better. She'd been given far far more then she could have hoped for already.
Lifting herself she took the tiny step necessarily to draw her figure beneath his own, nudging her head gently into the crook of his neck as the soft trailings of a purr rumbled.- "You shouldn't be so kind to me Ta. But I shall give thanks to the gods everyday that you are."
-Sighing softly with relief, she nuzzled once more into his thick mane, before her eyes drifted upwards.- "I promise that I won't ever again keep anything from you Ta. Or lie to constrew anything. I want to spend every last day of my life with you by my side. In good times and bad. Give you everything in the world.."
-She trailed for a soft moment, lifting her voice from it's whisper to proclaim more strongly on her final words.- "To love you the way you deserve to be loved."

As she moved close, he seemed to falter a second before relaxing. Lifting up his neck, he waited until she settled in before lowering his head so he grew verymuch confortable. The sigh that followed was assisted by his own deeper purr until he closed his eyes and listened to her response.
Each setence she gave he listened to, responding with a light chuckle or just warm silence. Once she finished, he opened his eyes to find everything looked just as bright as he once remembered.
"I promise as well, and...I know that what happened in the past is something we can never forget. But I swear, if you are ever ready to start a family with me, I will make sure that together we shall stay, through better and through the worse. Nothing will make me turn you away, I am too far in love with you for that."

-She faltered noticably at his words, wishing more then anything that she could give him that here and now. A family of his own. A family that belonged to her, a piece of her and Ta that she could care for. But her heart was still sore, and her mind still lingered with those same fears that'd tormented her before.
She still wasn't mother material yet.. she still could not hunt.. nor provide the care and time necessary of newly borns. Ecspecially with her new assesion and responsibility to the pride. But she leaned in against Ta anyway, closing her eyes as she sighed softly.- "Some day I'd like that.. a family of our own."
"But for now I shall be happy just having you."
-Nuzzling in against him once more, she asked softly.- "You'll stay in the royal den with me.. yes?"

His laughter filtered before he could control it, breaking the soft silence they once held before. Lowering his head tighter into the embrace, he grew content with just that, and minded not that she wished to wait.
"And I shall be happy with just having you, but it still feels...akward about the dens...unless you are insinuating something?" He trailed off as the thoughts crossed his mind, before he lowered his eyes without pulling away.

-Clearly, even without the words muttered, she'd assumed things, and softly that came into lightly.- "Other couples live together... And just thought.."

He pulled away, though quickly lowered his head softly to look her in the eyes, "You wish for me to be your mate?" It was a soft, hoars whisper, one of wonderment, before he suddenly shook his head and re-worded the question.
"Where would you like for me to stand in your life Kami...please tell me exactly where you wish for me to be, forever and ever."

"I..." -She paused softly, a flush rising to her cheeks as she adverted her downward momentarily, cuddling to hide in his mane. It wasn't that the decision was hard to make. She'd already assumed that's what they were.
After the words he'd just spoken to her.. it just seemed natural. But the words themselves were trickier to come across, that softly girlish tug of embarassment touching her.
But finally she forced her eyes forward, her maw showing a smile that was almost sheepish.- "I'd thought it was obvious..."
"I want to be your mate finally Ta. From now until forever. And you mine."
"Is... that okay?"

"How can I refuse a request like that?" He chuckled out softly, moving close to emmerse in her warmth in a hug, holding her protectivly with his position while they both were seated still.
"All I wished was to hear it from you, to hear the words that I knew we already held in our hearts. Forever Kami I shall be yours and only yours, until the day we move on to spin our tale within the stars, nothing will hold us appart, not even time. I love you Kami, and I always shall..." And with those truthful words, everything was forgiven and stored away to be learned from, though never forgotten. The lesson was over, and now it was finally time for the two to discover the happiness they justly deserved.
"Let's go home."
