Nothing compares to a live show. Although the movie does kick a**. BUT... I cannot choose between the two... I lean slightly SLIGHTly more towards live show though. Just cuz I love seeing live shows.

unfortumately, i never saw RENT on broadway with the OBC, but when i did see it at the pantages theater with the touring cast in july of 2006 i was truly blown away. so, play is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the movie, in my opinion.

The stage show. They cut the best parts of the play out of the movie. Even if, like me, you have yet to see the show but have heard the OBCR, you would realize this...

I can't really say anything. I haven't seen the play yet! So until/if I ever do, I would have to say the movie.

now that i have finally seen the Broadway version....i cant decide exactly. both the movie and the broadway have there good points. and i did like the fact that there was so much more life in the broadway. but at the same time i liked the arrangement of the music for the movie better. if you listen to the original broadway cast then you would understand. i have say that i loved the mimi for the movie a million times better. but i guess if i have to choose i think i like the movie better because i saw it first. the broadwaywas still incredibly awesome because of the song "christmas bells". its my fav from the broadway! heart
