Simon Lipkin (London Nicky/Trekkie) described it a cross between Sesame Street and South Park. Thought I'd mention that razz

`Ducky DUDE I was gonna make a fanfic of the RENT characters having to move to Ave Q because Alison's dad was a jackass. Once I was done with Chat.
that would be hilarious XD.... Especially to see Lucy try to steal Roger from Mimi...... xd If you've already written it, could I get a link to it?

That sounds good, and Roger and Mark should do 'If You Were Gay'! Roger would have to be Nikki of course. *Throws a fit about people who insist it would be cool if Roger were gay* He's with a chick!

You know...I never considered this!
I did relate them to one another with the fact that they're both set in New York with people having crappy lives.
Either way I love both.

Never noticed the similarities before. I can see them, but I can still comprehend them as different shows too. Over all, I prefer Rent

Wow! I saw Avenue Q on tour this past January and loved it to pieces!! But I never thought of it that way. Cool! I love the line in the finale "Except for death and paying taxes everything in life is only for now."

Yes, Avenue Q is in Mexico City now and I really feel that it was based on RENT.
But with puppets and lot of jokes.
