Kelwyn nodded. She was a little surprised that he hadn't heard more about elves, but he seemed to be asking sincerely enough, so she didn't think too much of it. "Yes, my race in general lives rather long lives, at least a thousand years, if not longer. You'll also notice that I don't really sleep either. I need to rest, but it's more like a trance or a waking dream than actual sleep. And when we die of natural causes, it's more like we fade back into the earth. It's hard to describe, I don't know of any mortal race that experiences the same thing. I and my brother will likely live longer than most elves, excepting unnatural causes, because we also have the blood of a wind fae, one you might have heard called a fairy?"
She paused a moment. "I hope I do not seem too strange to you. I would not have told you all of this, but if we are to travel together and you are to visit my homeland these are things you might need to know."

"Strange? You've not said anything that sounds strange to me yet. I am rather unfamiliar with fairies as well, I must say. Rather surprising really, as I'm usually rather close to nature, but then I am still young, more so when compared to you." He laughed softly at the thought of that. Something about a seemingly young woman being so much older than him.
There was a soft rustle in the bushes and two little bear cubs came rolling out of the berries playing with each other. "Wel now, what do we have here?" He said as he kneeled down to the cubs, "are you two enjoying the weather as well? No surprise to see you out here with all these delicious berries about."

Kelwyn, following Migy's lead, approached the cubs with caution, but not trepidation. "Where is their mama, do you suppose?" she asked, willing to let the conversation change for now.

He looked up to Kel as one of the cubs started biting his hand playfully. "She's in the area I think. At least it seems like it. I don't think they'd be as playful if there was anything dangerous in the area." He looked down at the bear trying to chew through his hand and the other roared at him as best it could. "Oh, is that so?" He looked back at Kel, "seems theres something eating all the fish out of the river up stream. They're not as plentiful as they used to be. Think we should go check it out?"

Kelwyn nodded. "I don't see why not. We most likely can figure out what's going on, and I hate it when something goes an unbalances things like this."

Standing up he stretched a bit looking around. Finding the way over to the river, they started heading up stream. Following the river for quite some time they came to a small mountain, and seemed that the flow of the water was getting slower. As they neared the mountain the sun slowly sank off into the distance.

As they approached the mountain Kelwyn picked her path carefully, knowing full well how much a landslide could damage this area further. Noting the fading light, she looked over to Migy. "I can see in the dark as well as daylight," she began, indicating the sinking sun, "so I do not need anything. Will you need a light of some kind to help you see?" She thought it better not to assume anything about his abilities, since he was obviously something other than the usual human, yet she could not place quite what that was.

He glanced over at her before looking back at the path and then at the sky. "Hmm...I think I'll be ok" He blinked a couple times causing his eyes to look different. "The moon out tonight should look rather lovely I think. You're a bit more light of foot than I so I'll let you lead the way if that's ok."

"That's fine with me," she replied. She took the lead, consciously picking a path that Migy would be able to follow easily enough. Before they quite reached the top of the mountain it became obvious what was causing the stream to slow down. The river cut a path between the mountain they were on and another on the other side of its banks, but where the distance between the two mountains was narrowest a huge pile of rocks and uprooted trees was blocking the flow of the water. It looked like it could have been from a landslide, but... "Let's be careful, I don't like the feel of things here."

As he followed after her, he would occasionaly glance about the area. He saw what appeared to be a shadow shift just slightly as she called out to him. Shaking his head as if it was nothing he looked back at her, just making out the make shift dam in the distance. "I would half to agree on that. This area has an odd aura. Though I'm sure you've noticed it as well. I get the feeling as though we're being watched."

"Yes, I sense it too, though I can't seem to pinpoint anything in particular..." She focused on her mage sense for a moment. She could feel things moving through the air that surrounded her, but like any of her other fives senses it could easily be distorted or muddled. After a moment she shook her head and sighed. "I cannot sense anything that seems out of the ordinary. Well, the only solution is to remain vigilant. To the other problem... how on earth are we going to get that stream clear?"

"Well, I'll figure something out once we get close enough to assess it better. I'm going to swim over. It seems the quickest route, and it shouldn't be too hard with as slow as the river is going currently." He took a few steps towards the river looking in as he started to walk in quietly and slowly.
