There's no way Laurell didnt base Anita off of herself. Letsee.. both have a very similar physical appearance, both lost their mothers early in life, there are quite a few different things

Anita Blake = Biggest Mary Sue ever.
It was odd, at the book signing, she stated that her and Anita were really different (I wrote down quotes, and my friend was there also and remembers this statement) and that she wasn't based on her at all.
Even though we all know she is. stare
*Shrugs* It's not like we blame her, we just wondered why she denied it.
I met her husband too, and I was rather glad at meeting him. He was wearing a FMA shirt and was rather cute. sweatdrop
My said friend had made me a Jean-Claude shirt, and they both seemed to like it, which I was relieved.
