Syam looked back at Dian when the younger male spoke, then pondered his question with a thoughtful frown before answering, "She's much more than a mount. She's my partner. We work together to be the best we can be. She enjoys what we do, and if she didn't, we wouldn't do it." Pausing once again for a moment, he considered his next answer carefully, looking over at the glistening black and orange creature that was his pride and joy in life, "I train her to protect her from humans, she's surrounded by them a lot, and if she were to harm even one they would have her killed, even if it wasn't her faut. For the most part though, I just perfect what she naturally does well. Gryphons are smart creatures though, it's hardly a chore. We dabble in anything that interests her, because that's usually what she excels at." He smiled fondly, "You should have seen her when she was learning to fly." Shaking his head lightly, but still with a small smile he looked back at the redhead, "How about your little monster there? Just a companion? He seems the type that would chose his own."
Circe paused for a moment as she watched what the small Gryphon was doing, cocking her head to the side again, and ruffling her neck feathers in a curious manner as she studied the odd habit. Looking from her half eaten rabbit, bones and everything, then back to his neat little pile she squawked lightly. Quickly gobbling down the rest of the bunny in front of her, then picked up the next one, mimicking Xenneger and pulling off the coat as cleanly as possible and setting it in the pile he had started before eating the rest of the rabbit.

Sil was instantly greatful that neither of these young men had been offended by her gryphon's rash actions, or her own. He really was impossible sometimes, and now he was sleeping away as if nothing in the world was wrong! She sighed and shook her head at him, loving him despite that.
"Thank you for the compliment. I'm Sil. I hope he isn't too big, though it seems like my wish won't be fulfilled." Laughing, the young woman ruffled the sleeping gryphon's feathers gently. He barely stiffed, except to roll in a lazy fashion onto his back and expose his belly for sleepy rubbings.
"She's beautiful. I've never seen one like her... Well, I've only seen a few gryphons at all. Touchstone... I wasn't expecting him to be a gryphon. I thought he was some sort of large, exotic bird egg. But obviously not." Again Sil laughed, so happy she had found her traveling companion.
Waking at the smell of the meat, Touchstone chirped happily, before gorging on the rabbit until his little belly bulged and he had fallen asleep again. "How long do they eat like this? Please say not forever- I'm not sure how in the world I'll feed him once he gets beyond the stage where a rabbit or two will fill him!" Though her tone was one of despair, Sil's eyes still laughed. She could never be mad at Touchstone... and she could worry about feeding him when she got there. She gave a polite greeting to the other man as well, noting his gryphon. "How long have both of you had your gryphs? If you don't mind me asking, of course."
