1. The GIB is here to protect and serve. Never forget that. We are not any better than those who remain outside our organization.

2. The GIB are civil. We do not resort to flaming, name-calling, or personal attacks. Likewise, please respect your fellow agents and crew members. If another agent is disrespecting or harassing you, please report it to a crew member, and we will investigate the situation. If you feel you are being treated unfairly by a crew member, please report it to the captain or vice captain.

3. The GIB prefer diplomatic solutions, but will sacrifice ourselves in order to protect the people of Gaia if conflict breaks out.

4. All agents must wear some variant of the Uniform while conducting official GIB business.

5. Agents are encouraged to display their badge/ID card in their signature, but this is not mandatory.

6. When conducting investigations in Towns or in the forums, please introduce yourself in a way that makes it clear you are from the GIB. For instance, if I were to run into a UFO in towns, I would say something like:
"Greetings. I am Agent TIM of the GIB. Would you mind if I asked you a few questions?"
Etc.

7. Be active. We need a strong GIB presence in places other than our GIB guild and threads. So I strongly encourage you to participate in and create discussions in the GCD, the event forums, Towns, etc., all while having your uniform and ID card on full display.

8. Interact with NPCs.
Do your best to get to know the NPCs. Those that are in close with them are there because they were persistent.

Alright, Agents. Welcome to the main forum.

This is a GCD-esque area for us to discuss the plot, the Gaian community, and the website in general.

When the plot really starts hopping, this is also where you'll make your reports and share your information.

In the abscence of major updates, feel free to talk about other aspects of Gaia. However, spam is not allowed, and topics about real life and issues outside of the scope of Gaia should be taken to the Employee Lounge.

Likewise, all Roleplaying should be done in the roleplaying forum.

Feel free to post "in-character" here, just as long as your posts are discussion-oriented, and not roleplay oriented.

Rules will be made more specific if I feel that it's needed. XP

And it goes without saying, Gaia TOS will be enforced.

We have two uniforms: One for times of peace and diplomacy, and one for battle. Use your own discretion when choosing which to wear.

The uniform is not currently required unless conductiong official GIB business.
It is highly customizable, as you can see from the loose guidelines. But please try to follow them.
