Have you ever loved someone or something so much that it hurt? Have you ever loved someone/something so much that you would do almost anything for them/it? Have you ever loved someone/something so much that you would go without eating? Have you ever loved someone/something that if you don't get to see them or have it near you want to just stay in bed?

Yes I've loved someone so much it hurts. When you love someone you'll forgive almost anything - unfortunately.

Isn't it funny how some things are always true?? For example Love starts with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear. I believe this to be true because I have had it happen to me. I fell in love with this guy I will not say his name, but it seemed so perfect it's hard for everyone to not see us together anymore because we always looked so in love in their eyes. Even that we are not together anymore we still remained friends which was nice and I think it just made our friendship stronger and who knows maybe one day we will try it again.

I too fell in love with this guy who I thought was a wonderful person and he showed me the glamorous side of life and I thought we would be together forever but unfortunately I was not the right ethnicity and so he dumped me and married her.

lightsenshi Yes. And I'd rather not talk about it. Unless you are a kid I think that most people have fallen in love with something or someone and it hurt so bad that we don't want to talk about it, so I truly understand.

Yeah I've been hurt, I've hurt others. Not my proudest times or my favorites.
Although I don't think it's a sign of the "ultimate" love to constantly say you'd die for the one you love. I think there's a lot more things involved, I know it's more complicated than that simplicity for me, personally.
I haven't gone without eating or done anything stupid like hurt myself physically. Of course, that wouldn't be because of love anyways. Anything negative done in the name of love, isn't love to me. It can be a b***h to play the love game though, unfortunately.

There are alot of thing's i'm fond of but i've never been in love.... I'm fond of my favourite sports team, my ps2, my house, my car and money. I guess because i've never been in love i question wether or not it does exist. I don't see myself ever meeting one person that i want to spend my life with or devote myself to, but then at the end of the day that could also be a personal choice as i'm happy to sit back and be single biggrin

I have loved. I have lost. I have been abandoned. I have given my all and received nothing in return. I'm your cliche jaded-cynic type I 'spose. I have serious trust issues. For me I know I love someone when I forgive them. Not that I forgive everything, but when I really love someone I do find myself forgiving (sometimes against my better judgement)
(Sorry to hear about getting dumped for being the "wrong" ethnicity, that's BULL. Love is a much deeper emotion than one's cultural background or race).
While on one hand I believe in true love, I believe there are many loves (but you're only supposed to be with one). Each love touches a part of you, and represents a moment in your life, but you move on. Sometimes you don't find the "right person", you're simply meant to have the strength and beauty to fly solo (and there's nothing wrong in that), other times, you're waiting for the right one. Nothing's perfect or ideal. But we grow from love when it's right. Love is a lot of pain. A lot of effort. Love is never easy.

When I was very young love like that mattered, but now that life wains, I find that true love is in the caring and giving of my self that matters.

Yes.... My children and my guy. I love them more than anything. But I have had my heart broken. It, fortunately, heals in time. And what dosen't kill us, only makes us stronger. As long as we learn something in the process.
