Mignon blinked up at Lucky. "Pepito fell down at the breakfast table and screamed a lot. Then she and Bob disapeared. Then a mean man took mommy away. Now it's just Dhee, and he's stupid and he smells bad, and he doesn't know how to tell me to tell good bedtime stories." She sighed.
"Everyone leaves me alone. It.... Sucks."

(Sorry, cousin shooed me off to check his e-mail or something. >> -snorts-)
Surprisingly, Lucky laughed at this, leaning back and placing her hands behind her to avoid falling over, yawning broadly. My, my, someone had sharp teeth. Ears twitching, she grinned at Mignon and shrugged her shoulders. "Kid, you've got a lot to learn." Then she was quiet, silently pondering something for a time. "Well, they'll all come back eventually I'm sure."

She sniffled, rubbing an eye. "Learn what? I try to learn stuffs, but I'm stupid."

"From what I know you Sin'aeis kids are pretty damn smart." From what Lucky knew they were pretty damn mean, too, but this one seemed to prove her wrong on that. Maybe it was just Kilah and that Lyrus kid. Ah, well. "And, you know, just learn. About life, about people." People refering to everyone, of course. Even if they were more of a demon like her and Noyama, though you wouldn't suspect her of such based on the stereotype.
"Don't get upset now, Kilah wouldn't like it." How to cheer this kid up? Hm. Making people happy wasn't something she was known for being good at. Because she wasn't. "You two are good friends?" It was still hard for her to believe Kilah could be friends with someone like Mignon. She seemed too...non-violent.

This brightened her up a bit. Mignon loved to talk about Kilah. "Ever since we were little. Reaaaaal little, like Twila! Littler, even! Mommy and Noya used to let us play all the time. Mommy even helped Noya with some island thingy." She frowned.
"Then Kilah allways got real mad. And she doesn't like people that I like, 'cause they're nice to me. But I love her, and she is my Lala." Mignon's hands rested on her hips. "I would do anything for her. Except hurt Aard. 'Cause that'd be bad. He helped me duck tape Pito to the bed when he was a boy demon."

"Oh, Lord," she grumbled, rolling her eyes. She knew well who Aard was. For hating him so much, Kilah sure talked about him a lot. Of course, it was always, 'So then I punched him' or 'Then he did something stupid' or something similar.
In her games, usually played out by stuffed bears, the first one to die (because they all did in the end) was Aard. She sang songs about Aard and rivers, Aard and sharp objects, Aard dying in general. Somehow, she almost knew without a doubt it was the same way on the other side of the rainbow.
Making mortal enemies so young. Aye, aye, aye. "Yeah, I know him, the one who socked her." She grinned and rolled her eyes again, scratching the top of her head. "Does, uh, whoever is still at your house know you're here?"

Mignon shrugged. "Conan saw me leave. I think. He was kinda watching Rene. Kagura threw her chains up and the caught on the ceiling fan. It broke the fan, and Rene was screaming a bunch of mean stuff. Bad things that I get yelled at for saying. It's not fair."
"Dhee's stupid. He wouldn't know I left if I walked up and told him." Which she had, in a way. She might have screamed at him when she was running out the door.

"I can't believe you kids these days, running around on your own." At least she wasn't running away like Kilah. The fact she even said 'bad' things amused Lucky. Kilah would've been cursing like a sailor four minutes into this conversation if it had been her instead of Mignon there.
Then again, it'd be Kilah talking to Mignon and not her. "Well, some people are like that. Unfortunately, you can't pick your family most of the time."

"I don't usually. 'Cuz bad people can grab you and hurt you and eat you and you'll neaaaaavar see your mommy again." She nodded to herself. "The world is full of lots and lots of bad peoples."
She made a face. "I don't like him. I wish he never made mommy get a baby in her tummy." Granted, she didn't know how he got the baby there, but still. That's what Bob allways said.

"Yes, there are lots of bad people in the world." Lucky wouldn't argue. She also wouldn't remind her, as Noyama would've, that there were good people too. Because, frankly, Lucky didn't think so. When push came to shove, she barely liked anyone. Though she was unquestionablely loyal to those who did manage to get her trust somehow.
One might've thought she influenced Kilah's attitude, had she not always seemed that way. After the little trip to the 'island', anyhow.
With the mention of babies, Lucky raised an eyebrow. "I see. Well, usually you have to live with people you don't like. There's a few people in this household I could do without."

"Everyone here seems nice." Mignon said, tapping her chin. "Except for that mean lady that comes around here every now and then. I don't like her. She's... a lot of words that I can't say."

"You talking about Noharu, I take it?" There were a few that actually came to mind. Noharu, of course, that 'two-faced b***h' Lockee as Lucky called her, and then there was that other one...But she hadn't been around for a long time. She chuckled and reached into her pocket, pulling out a red and white package from which she pulled out a cigarette.
She put it in her mouth, shifting it to the side, but didn't light it. Not in Kilah's room, and more importantly not with a little kid around. She didn't want to give her lung cancer, after all, so for now she was content with chewing on the end. "Yeah, better watch out for that one. She's vicious."

"Yes." Mignon shook her head. "I don't like Noharu. She's a meanie butt. I'm glad Lyrus stabbed her in the foot. Hooch." Mignon said, snorting. She smiled up at Lucky. "I like you. You're nice. That's good, 'cause Kilah needs lots of nice people around her, so that she's happy."
She looked around and sighed. "I better get home. Dhee will yell at Conan if I'm missing, 'cause Conan's 'sponsible. Tell Kilah, when she gets back, that I missed her." She gave a big smile and waved at her, heading off.
