I was fine with the war of the worlds performance...
However I sort of...refuse to believe this unless I see it well cited.
I wouldn't believe it if it was some smear about some one I like, so why believe it just because it's fun?
Where's this story come from?

I thought she was a good actress in Man on Fire
although i do admit her character in War of the Worlds was a bit annoying
but if thats true, it explains why

I love Dakota..
I only found her annoying in the car scene, when she screamed her head off.
Throughout the rest of the movie she was a fiery little brat and it made me laugh. .. C:

I really think Dakota Fanning is a very talented actress, especially for her age. She is a bit small for a twelve year old, but eh.

Corduroy Magician I know... most people hear the name and cringe, right? Everyone saw War of the Worlds and decided to hate her. I know this sounds like something that doesn't belong in this forum, but read on. Upon the start of filming, the director pulled dakota to the side. He said you will be playing Tom Cruise's daughter, so it will seem only right if you act like him. She looks at him and asks... Do you want me to act like Tom Cruise in real life, or Tom Cruise in the movie? She's told to act like Tom Cruise in real life. <-fact So we learn 2 things... Dakota Fanning's a pretty good little actress, and Tom Cruise is really freaking annoying. Tom Cruise found out about this later in filming and got really mad at her, causing tension during the rest of the shooting. And if you want further proof of Dakota being a good actress, just watch the last few episodes of Taken. She's actually quite adorable, though a little creepy. Yeh, okay. That's funny and just a little creepy but... I didn't like her even before that. I'm not sure what it is... I just. dont. like her.

probably one of the reasons why I never really liked her was because she was in soo many things. It seemed like every time I went to see a movie, her head would always pop up. It is weird how she takes every good role meant for preteen girls. It would be nice to see someone new come out.

Hahahaha. Nice. Well I haven't seen War of the Worlds, So I really am a little confused and why exactly most of you think she was annoying in it. Now I want to see that movie.
