Hello!
I'm Erin, I'm 14, and am a crazed U2 fan! mrgreen
I, honestly, don't remember the first time I heard U2. It was either on my step-mom's CDs (she has Joshua Tree and Zooropa- I have since completed the collection whee ) or on the radio!
My dad likes them a lot, but he gave me his ticket to see them live! So, on December 5th 2005, I got to see U2 live! Heh... Nosebleed seats, but it was still amazing 4laugh
^ hee hee snapped ze pic using my step-mom's camera phone^
Favorite Song: Sunday Bloody Sunday or Always or If God Will Send His Angels xp I have issues picking just one, but Sunday Bloody Sunday is always and forever my very favorite song.
Favorite Album: stare This always gives me problems... I guess my favorite album is Joshua Tree, War, How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, or Achtung, Baby! Honestly love them all, though 4laugh
Bono, Adam, Larry, and Edge all rock my socks heart
... hee hee yay for long posts! whee

Hey all. My name is Britt. I'm 15 years old. I'm from Michigan in the USA. U2 is one of my most favorite bands, alogn with R.E.M. and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their music has and still gets me thorugh some hard and rough times. Adam is my favorite member. All I Want is You is my favorite song and DEsire is the first one I have ever heard(when I was a wee lass!). My favorite Album is a toss up between Achtung Baby and All That You Can't Leave Behind.
And for random stuff about me! I LOVE to draw and write! I also play some intruments. I love playing the guitar, though I'm not that good at it yet.
Anyways, I'm glad I found this guild!

Hello! I'm Julie from PA, 17 years old (18 come march 9) and I'm posting this because I'm a HUGE U2 fan (how'd you guess?) . Also because 'I like the sound of my own voice, I didn't give anyone else a choice'. XD, sorry had to put lyrics in here somewhere . My fandom, however, has only been since my freshman year of high school (now a senior) My mom was a fan but I was reluctant to admit I was even OK with anything from the 80's (no I don't like ALOT of 80's stuff *dodges tomatoes*)Anyway,in high school I met a girl who was obsessed and she got me hooked (with the help of vertigo) I have loved them ever since. I listen to their stuff constantly. I am dying to go to a concert but tickets are so freakishly expensive...*sob* Anyway, I have several favorite songs but I guess my top 2 are
new - All Because of You classic - Sunday Bloody Sunday (also I will follow)
I'm so happy we crazed fans have a place for us here on gaia! yay!

Hey. Okay, so... I've always loved U2 from hearing them on the radio as a little kid. Then I had this teacher that was totally obsessed. And a few friends that are obsessed too. So I had a CD burned for me. I fell back in love with U2. I only have three CD's now. (Joshua Tree, U218 singles, Zooropa) I also have a biography on Bono. I have never been to a concert and probably never will. crying
So I guess that I'm not their biggest fan, but I still really really really like them.
I love you Bono, Adam, Larry, and The Edge!!!!!!

Hi!
My name is Candyce or Candy for short. (Hense my username) I'm absolute in heart with U2. (BTW, thanks for taking my application!) I'm so hooked, espcially to the point where I'm driving my family nuts! Since I was about 3 when I first heard music, I heard U2 and I absoultely loved them, but I didn't know who they were yet but I loved to crank up the volume when Mysterious Ways or I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For came on. A couple of years ago, I because extremely depressed and looked into music. I soon found out that all of my favorite songs (including the newly added Beautiful Day) were by the same band! I soon bought How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb and played it nonstop. Then I bought more of their CDs and well, the rest is history.

Hi, my name is Taralee(or just Tara).. I go by Shee_Cat (Which was going to be just She_Cat, after "An Cat Dubh"--one of my fav songs), because I still hold true to being a shecat(I'm a leo, many times over), but, yet, like a bahn Shee, I can get my point out there, pretty well. biggrin As to getting the "point".. For a lot of my friends, that has been getting an earfull about U2.. everything imaginable. But, how did I get started? Well, I was born, then day after WAR was finished being writen (just one of many reasons that that is my all-time fav album). My dad, whom I have inherited my eclectic gene from, was/is a big U2 fan. I was 2 1/2, when he took me to their Red Rocks show in Colorado.. (which is fun to think about, 'cuz on the show they have released, you can see me, in my little, fluffy dress sitting on his shoulders. We returned to Denver, a few years later, and caught the tail end of the Rattle and Hum tour. When I became a teenager, I became my now-OBSESSIVE self, as far as U2 is concerned. With a group of friends, we all caught an Auchtung show, an actual Zooropa show in Dublin, and the combined Zootv show, back here, in the states. The same friends had gotten us all tickets for POP, but I cam down with a bad Flu, the night before, and couldn't go. They did, and told me all about Paul (I refuse to use "bono", unless it's talking about the a-hole side of the character.. I'll go into that, in a different one) having saved all his gorgeous hair off. They had gotten to go back stage, but I didn't really care, since his hair was off (again, later installment, w/my pros/cons..). I sorta black-listed Bono (I thought he had gone off the deep end, so it WAS bono, then.) during the PopMart tour... Even though i bought, and loved the CD, and have since made my peace with the tour.. Loved the videos, of course. I missed the Elavation tour, because of personal problems, but, to me, it seemed like Paul, and U2, as a whole, were getting "back on track".. coming back to themselves, I guess I mean. Had no chance, whatsoever, of getting to see a Vertigo-tour show.. Though, I did see "All Because of You" being made.. was a big shock, to walk outside the office, and see that going down the street! But, I don't know, if you can find a really bigger fan, then I am.. I've litterally been born and raised, and cut my teeth on all that is U2.. so, hopefully, this isn't too long, but, explains why I was so adiment about joining the U2 Guild.. Thanks go to the owner(s) and mods. biggrin

But, I don't know, if you can find a really bigger fan, then I am.. I've litterally been born and raised, and cut my teeth on all that is U2.. I almost forgot one major thing: Paul has been a HUGE inspiration, and sorta a mentor, for me, and my friends.. What had started, as a group of 14, during the Zoo years, is now 5.. The reason the others are no longer with us, has been taken up, under a mantle, that we are forming a nono-profit, based on ALL of U2, and Paul's dreams.. Our org's called: D*O*Z*A*S.. for "Daughter's of Zion, Abraham Sons".. and, it, pretty much takes all the feeling/meaning from "Love and Peace, or Else" and "Miricle Drug", and will bring a way to bring all that promise that those songs carry, out, into the light, for our day.. Where, U2 works for a great, and Beauitlful Tomorrow, we'll be paving the way (hopefully) today. so, hopefully, this isn't too long, but, explains why I was so adiment about joining the U2 Guild.. Thanks go to the owner(s) and mods. biggrin
