I didn't like the music in Sonic Rush all that much. I was hoping for something more like the music in Sonic 2 or Sonic 3, but didn't get it.

You don't know how much that depresses me, Aeris! crying Seriously, the special stages= BEST MUSIC EVER IMO "I'm gonna change my way... I'm gonna, I'm gonna... doo dooo doooo" And of course the final boss theme: "TOO BLACK. TOO STRONG" domokun

The term "Japanese music" is just way too broad. Technically all you have to do is just add a "j" to the end of each genre and you get Japanese music.
j-rock j-pop j-jazz
You get the picture. The stuff we hear spewing to our homeland is the "mainstream stuff" and that's why it sounds the same in most aspects. Japanese do listen to a variety of stuff.
Now the raw stuff (like Sakura), calming music ^_^
Where's Sol Bad Girl when you need her >_> She can explain it over there than anyone else. Although I do kinda feel bad for Japanese people migrating over there sometimes...getting mauled by Japanophiles gonk

I'm not much into the anime and manga like I used to be, but I haven't lost my love for the country. I went there twice, and love every second. I want a tiny Japanese car with a TV in it! My host mom would watch Sumo matches at red lights. xD

Not big on animes. Like a few Miyazaki films, but that's about it. I like Japanese videogames, but I'm open to anything really. As far as music goes, only videogame music is what I enjoy. If it comes to any other genre, I'm enjoy Western music more. I like to listen to the lyrics and understand them. As for Japan itself, I'll have an opinion after my holiday in November.

There's so many of those out there. "OMGZ! I'm a LOLITA! =D" "Wow. So what are you inspired by?" "I'm a DOLL!" "No, you're inspired by the Rococo era." [/iswearingtrueEGLdressatthetime] People are so dumb xP I like knowing about things, and being able to hold up an arguement, but I don't flaunt it. x.o

Partly, most for the games(and the wierd ones I want to play!) and manga.
Music I can't say much besides from games and anime, since my only real experience with J-music is "Malice Mizer". sweatdrop
Not too much for the japanese food after eating a sushibox. (Though wasabi could be useful in pranks. xd )
