our football team sucks so i could care less about the game i always look forward to showing our insanely hard show to the other school

I don't understand football... so everytime the crowd goes nuts, I'm like, "What just happened?" 80% of my band is OBSESSED with the football games and they yell at me when I don't understand why we play our fight song only once. If we get a touch down, we play the fight song twice, if we get a first down we play the last like 5 measures of the fight song once and I don't even know what a first down is... I feel so ignorant gonk

Doubt it's where I'm from...from texas..."friday night lights"? Ah well...I do have fun explaining the game to people, makes me seem smart lol

most people in our band don't really care, since our school's football team quite frankly sucks.
Most people come to the games to watch the band's halftime show as a matter of fact

in my freshman year, I really didn't care, but now I do. our team made it to playoffs because of Friday's game, but we left early because area was early Saturday.

Well this year our team is 9-0 so everyone is always glued to the game.
Hah.
It's pretty funny when some of the people in my band yell at the referees(sp?) .

Some of our band yell insanely loudly for the game, some pay attention, and many say "what's football?" and chat.
I have no clue what goes on in football, so I pay attention sometimes but chat a lot. xD
We're like, last in the conference so we don't play our fight song much D=

we are finally winning !!!! wooohoo!! so everyone cares now.!! its been the first win in 5 years. just a nice feeling that we are not up wasting our time at 10 at night.

Wahconah is completly into our football games. Some kids paint their faces, while our "Band Idol" takes off his shirt and paints himself blue and white, no matter what the weather and somehow he stays warm. During half time the whole band goes down to the side of the field and dance. We love our school, and we have a halftime, 1st down, touchdown and random songs. cool
