Renell ppl at my school really don't talk about it much, but i kno a few ppl who do like it and we talk about it over the web! oh and love you sig Natsumei!!!! Raito is like um... while L is just like YUM!!!! L fans are everywhere!! Bad thread to go into!! This guild is almost dead to me evil

Surprisingly enough, the name "Ryuzaki" actually has some history behind it in L's past. It isn't mentioned in the animated series or in the manga, but there was a person in L's past that was named "Ryuzaki" that had some significance in his life. I won't tell you what exactly, but it's actually in the novel.

xRYUZAKIx IVE READ UP TO VOL.7 AND IVE HEARD ALL ABOUT VOL.13, BUT I STILL DONT KNOW WAHT RYUZAKI MEANS. EVERY JAPANESE NAME MEANS SOMETHING, RIGHT? ALL I KNOW IS THAT "RYU" MEANS DRAGON... PLEASE, GIVE ME A CLUE SOMEBODY! I could have sworn that during the time Ryuzaki introduces himself, somebody makes a comment about it being the same name of a pop star.

TO ANSWER the question correctly I checked up the Kanji and translated them.
Ryuuzaki consists of the kanji 竜(Ryuu) and 崎(Saki) Together, forming 竜崎 (Ryuuzaki)
竜 - りゅう - Ryuu
1: dragon (esp. a Chinese dragon);
2: naga (semidivine human-cobra chimera in Indian mythology);
3: promoted rook (shogi)
崎 - さき - saki
1: small peninsula

So Basically, it's Dragon-small peninsula
Does that say anything?
No.
But that's what the Kanji means ^_^
