Maybe I could bring it back to how much I want to rant about someone liking japan for bad reasons.
I have this guy friend whom I like(yes, like-like, if you want any clarification.) Well, I told him I liked him and he said the same kind of bullshit about how he wasn't in a relationship kind of mood at the time. Then about 2 days later we are hanging out. And what pisses me off the most about him is that a japanese exchange student at our college walked by and he says. "Oh! I should go talk to her." And he gets all into the fact that she is perfect and all he knows about her is that she is Japanese!
He said that he wants me to introduce the two and give him her name, because I live on the same floor in the dorm.
Now, I just got pissed and pushed over his water bottle (it was closed) and talked about something else while still smiling. We talk about something else and at the end of the meal he asks what her name is AGAIN and why I haven't introduced the two.
Well, today he says, "I need to go to Ann Arbor" So all of us were like "why?"
He just says "Japanese women are there."
This is all because he has been caught in the whole, anime girls = japanese girls thing.
I hate it. Its like just because I am white he won't even consider going out with me, but if I was asian, I could be an axe murderer and he would drop everything and go after me.
I hate how my race changes everything.

eugh, I don't know if that rant made me more releived to say it. Or just more pissed.

SuperTurkey Tsamikayu Hey, guys, mind getting off your soapboxes about how crap/great America is/isn't and get back on topic? Seriously, can you guys please stop talking about how “crap” America is. It seems that almost every thread or post on this website is turned into a rant on how much America sucks. Honestly, did you ever stop and think that maybe you were offending someone. I’m American and acknowledge the problems with the country. Although I do believe that every country has problems and it’s unfair compare them, especially without taking everything into consideration. I don’t need people who don’t even live in America telling me how terrible it is. I don’t consider myself an extreme patriot, but I have traveled to many different countries and was able to experience living outside of the US. Before I was just as the kids you see now, I disliked America for dumb reasons that I’m embarrassed to have once thought. I’m not trying to say I’m right and all must obey or anything like that. I’m just saying that it’s offensive and not really anyone’s business, especially if they don’t even live in America. Yeah, like I said, get back on topic. This is a thread about Japanophiles, stop bringing America into it. Take it somewhere else.

I can see that asian girls are usually really pretty (I have a thing about them myself) but I don't agree with chasing after someone just because they're pretty, or just because of their race. They could be a particular race and/or gorgeous and they could be a b***h personality-wise. Sometimes I wish I could be asian just so I could have some fun shooting these guys down ^_^ Normally I don't get to shoot anyone down, bah.

Well I mean the least he could have done was say I don't wanna go out with you(Don't mean to sound harsh if I do sweatdrop ) Race shouldn't play the part when your dating, just on how the person makes you feel^^
