Wrigley puffed out his chest when Cassidy told Phib they were going to be parents, he was so happy and filled with pride. He was at a loss of what to say to Phib, because still thigns swirled in his ead, what to do for Cassidy to make her comfortable. What Phib said about the den made sense though, so he nodded, "I'll do that," he turned to Cassidy and smiled, "I'll start that today."
He would do everything in his power to make sure she was comfortable and that the pups would be comfortable.
Wrigley wondered if his parents would've been proud, what his mother and father might have used for names for their grandpups, who knew. Perhaps someday his children would meet them somehow, in some strange way. He missed them, he hoped they still looked upon them with pride in their hearts wherever they roamed.
"Phib...umm, is there anything else I should do?" he asked meekly, quietly. He was sort of embarrased that he didn't know quite was he was to do, he had lived with sled dogs most of his ife, not with other wolves, so he never knew the responsibilities besides instinct.
He was however glad Phib didn't seem angry with him.
Wrigley wanted to be something in Phib's eyes, to have him be good enough for Cassidy.

Phib snorted. “She’ll do most of it.” He nodded towards Cassidy. Even if this was her first litter- it was likely that instinct would kick in anytime now and soon she’d be digging out the den Wrigley made her so it’s deeper, she’d be dragging pine needles in, and that’d be the end of it. He didn’t know much about preparation for such events, except that the women always knew what to do. “Better to let them do what they may.”
To Cassidy, this seemed shocking. She lowered her eyes and shook her head. “I don’t know what to do!” She couldn’t remember Jenna ever going and dragging things. And god- birthing things.
Phib seemed pretty confident. “You will.” Already his head was swollen with planning. If there were going to be pups, there'd be things to arrange and...
Cassidy shifted and leaned herself against Wrigley. She didn't know what to say to that, so she looked up at her mate. Did he think she would know what to do?

Wrigley nuzzled Cassidy trying to comfort her, "Phib knows a lot more then I do Cassidy, if he believes you will know what to do, I believe him, you should too. But know I'll be right beside you to help in anyway I can," his tail was wagging, he was so excited!
He didn't know how long it would take for the puppies to be ready to be brought in the world, so he better get started quickly.
Wrigley nuzzled her again and looked to Phib, blinking his deep brown eyes and bowing his head to Phib, "I promise, that I'll take care of her," he didn't know if he had to say it, it just felt right to let Phib know that he would always take care of Cassidy and help her, no matter what.
Wrigley, was now all too excited about when the pups would arrive, then he would have a family.
