i'm pretty open to different styles of jazz From early swing to Modern to Acid Jazz.
My cd collection is mostly bigband stuff though i guess i was raised musically on the stuff.
For some reason i really love Buddy Rich's bigband maybe because they're so loud fast and in your face.

I also kind of like the whole Jazz Trio kind of deal.
Plus 'cause that's the kind of thing that usually accompanies vocalists.

Please don't smack me when I say this but what got me into Jazz was actually the DJ interpretations. Were they used little blurps to put together a song. And then I started listening to actual Jazz, and now I aspire to play jazz bass. But I still like the occasional Cowboy Bebop or Samurai Champloo track.

Latin stuff, Jobim, some Getz, and some later Dizzy, ya know, the good stuff.
And a handful of Duke Ellington and Mancini standards.
