I must admit, I was surprised when Bella didn't say yes. But I wasn't mad, you know?
I mean, I thought to myself, she must have her reasons...
Then I heard about what Stephenie said, that this matter will be explained soon in Eclipse, so yeah 3nodding
I'm not upset.

I was upset that Bella said no....BUT...that makes edward able to moveon to other girls.....( who WOULD love to marry him)(me???? wink heart whee ???)*lol*

I couldn`t believe that Bella didn`t say yes!! That made me sooo mad. I mean, she is the one that wants to be a vampire to be with him for the rest of eternity and she doesn`t want to marry him?! I couldn`t believe it.

October Breeze Well, I think Bella has justification for saying that she didn't know yet.
After all, her parents divorced, which could make her wary of marriage. Also, she's only eighteen years old, and even though she is in complete love with Edward, it's the thought of the actual marriage. A lot of people think of marriage as more than just a union of two people, because in some ways it also signifies that you are an adult - your parents are giving you away, and you have to make it on your own (with your partner). Not only that, but Bella still has her whole life ahead of her, and maybe soon an eternity. Before getting married, she might want to live life just simply being Edward's girlfriend and enjoy it. (When I asked my mom if she liked being my dad's girlfriend, fiancee, or wife better, she said girlfriend, though I don't know if this counts for anything). Finally, even though Bella can be impulsive at times, I think she is a cautious person, too, and doesn't want to jump into any decisions until she has no more doubts or has her mind made up.
Some of that could be way off, but that's how I would see it, since Bella never really gave much reason to her response. I think the reason people enjoy just being a girlfriend/boyfriend is because, generally, at least if you haven't been together long, you still don't know very much about each other. You think the other is pretty spiffy because they aren't showing you many of their flaws. As you grow more comfortable with one another, every once in a while you'll see a side of them you don't like, or bad habits, or just things that get on your nerves. To know you want to be with someone for life means accepting the bad with the good. If you can accept that person for everything they are, and they can for you, then you can talk commitment. Maybe Bella felt she just didn't know enough about Edward yet, and that Edward doesn't know her quite well enough. If I were her, I would have gladly accepted a giganta rock from Edward 3nodding

I completely agree! I can't beleive she wouldn't say yes!!! They're going to be with eachother for eternity anyway!!!!

Gawd, I was shocked when she didn't immediately say know. But she probably would after he changed her.. Even though they would be together eternally anyway..

[ <33 ] I think that that is actually one of the main reasons she refused. From her dreams, she is afraid that she will grow old and Edward will still be young. I think that she believes the more important of the two commitments, her being changed and her getting married, she believes that her being changed is the more important and therefore should come first. Of course, that is just how I see things. So I can believe that she would be hesitant, and say no. At this point in time. Hoooowever...if she said no completely and utterly and ABSOLUTELY refused to marry him ever. Then I will be pissed. ^^

I agree i was a little upset that she'd just didn't agree eek
We've should of guess that she would of gotten a little bit scared of accepting cry
She loves Edward and like they said in the book " Time will only tell" sad
But you know Edward left her and that had her heartbroken and maybe that's why she she didn't accept scream
But anyway they both love each other so eventually they'll be togehter at the end and be married cool
So that's the day I"ll crying crying went they're married
But you know that she did say NO..... I said WTF?!
I heart Edward and hope she'll change her mind soon in Eclipse I mean biggrin
