u know, kikyo died in the manga. anti-kikyo people should consider what kikyo's been through. its not pleasant to be betrayed by the 1 u love, certainly not pleasant when u were resurrected against ur will and have to devour dead souls when u hate it but have to depend on it to survive.

You've brought up a good point. Kagome is Kikyo reincarnated, thus all the Kagome fans wouldn't exist without Kikyo. She didn't want to die alone, and seeing her true love with someone else is tough. But in the end, it's her.

one thing i dont lyk bout kagome is her major fuss about kikyo just talking to inuyasha. in that one epidode wen kikyo wanted to talk tyo inuyasha about naraku's heart n kagome was all...wat r they talking about?...i was about to just turn off the TV! i mean kikyo wont just make a move on inuyasha...n kikyo knos it is inuyasha's heart n he controls it so she cant make him lov who n who...kagome just wants inuyasha to avoid kikyo permanatly n persobally i think that is mean...

I think that the problem with both Kagome-haters and Kikyo-haters is that they're so set in their emotions that all they can do is say things like "Kikyo is a b***h" or "Kagome is a slut". Anyway, the people that say things like "Kikyo tried to kill Inuyasha" or "Kikyo hurt Kagome" aren't really taking into account the fact that it isn't really Kikyo. It's a clay doll without a soul. The only thing she has left is the emotion that she had right before dying, which is hatred. For a more accurate portrayal of who Kikyo really is, people should look at the flashback episodes about what life was like before Naraku. If Kagome went to hell and back, she probably wouldn't be all spunk and cheer either.
Those are really good reasons, especially the last one. Very strong points.. <3
I totally agree. Saying you hate Kikyou but love Kagome is like saying you love Kikyou, since they're technically the same character. rolleyes
