I thought New Moon was WAY better than Twilight because it was very emotional and showed what Bella was going through.
I thought the whole book was great.
I couldn't stop reading it and it made me think.

Well, I think its all pretty much been said, New Moon didn't "suck", it just wasn't as thrilling as Twilight. I will say that when I relized Edward was leaving Bella I wanted to stab Stephenie Meyer, but I soon got over that. I liked Jacob, but too much of a good thing isn't good. There was TOO much Jacob. All I wanted throught the entire thing was "Edward back. I want Edward back."

• • • I agree. xD Though it didn't suck, New Moon is pratically Bella just complaining about how life sucks without Edward. I'm still in the process of reading it, though. 3nodding I'm on page 252. xD
I like the part where Bella meets Laurent in the forest. My sister just had to tell me who the wolves were that saved her. stare She did write the book very well, it's just..more boring than the other ones. n.n;
I can't read it for hours straight either, I just read it when I'm bored at school or at night. xD ™

I don't think that New Moon sucked...but it was definitely my least favorite.

Seriously, out of the current three that I've read. . . New Moon has to be my favorite. In depth, emotional, it created a new understanding for the characters and developed a new story to be told, that's when eclipse came skipping along. But, the essence of Edwards leave made the book harder to grasp and yet - I believe I fell in love with that very concept.
So. Here's the thing.
One; I adore Bella Depression. As annoying as it was in my first read, when I re-read the book many times over I felt more compassionate for it. She soon became reckless, determined, fearfull. Bella changed, experienced things she wouldn't and came to understand herself and her pain better. She felt as if she needed to do certain actions to hear his voice. And the embracing restraint she had to try and not remember as well, finding Laurent and taking a look at the old home. All of it, was captivating and made me tear up.
Two; The voices. Edwards voice that kept coming to Bella made me cry and ball like you would not believe. The pages of my book have tear stains due to the fact I shed tears each time I read those death threatening parts. The whole thing about her trying to trigger her hallucinations makes me spell bound, because it's Edward pressuring the promise she made when he left her. I like the whole crying feeling that comes over me when I read it. It has purpose !!
Three; Werewolves !! I was so excited, I had a feeling as I read Twilight Jacob, the Quilettes. . . they were something. And I'm like, a secretly huge fan of wolves, so that piece of information made my day.
New Moon was gripping, heart-wrenching, and only made me succumb to wanting, yearning, needing Edward more and I think that was the focus. Oh ~ and the reunion was astonishing, breath taking. It makes me breathless each time I read it. Seriously !!
I'm still debating my favorite book to the "saga" and who knows what Breaking Dawn will bring, but so far I think New Moon has caught my heart. Twilight was so free, and Eclipse so dangerous so defeaning on both accounts of werewolf and vampire. I love them both, so screw all that nonsense. Thank goodness the complications got resolved though. [ - nodnod - ] I just finished my fourth read of New Moon. xDD;;
