If you mean Slade, he's actually way more well known now. Sorry.

if by Slade you mean the Teen Titan cartoon villian his real name is Deathstroke. Why they changed it I have no idea. But Deathstroke would own "Slade" any day of the week.

1)It was changed because of the Censors. The word "Death" is usually frowned upon in a kids show so they nixed Deathstroke and just used his first name.

2) That's actually debatable. Slade was extremely strong in the 'toon, had an army of robots and had some magical abilities. He'd give DS a run for his money.

BUt anyway here are some forgotten characters:
Pied Piper
The Comedian
Peacemaker
Heckler
Neptune Perkins
And believe me these guys are obscure as they get.

Well some of them I'll agree but (Unless you're reffering to some other character's that use the same name) the first two I wouldn't say are all that "obscure."
The Pied Piper's a pretty big character in the Flash titles and was one of the first openly gay characters at DC.
And The Comedian's from The Watchmen and Watchmen's not obscure by any means. Heck it's even got a movie in the works.

Magic powers? Deathstroke has owned many a character with magic powers and robots would be no problem for him, he just use some device to jam their systems or something. Not mentioning he uses a load of weapons.

Well the magic probably wouldn't come into play since he only really used it to create that giant flame monster and to keep himself from dying. But despite what Meltzer likes to think Deathstroke isn't invincible and can be overtaken. Slade's easily DS' equal and his hordes of robots would overtake him. and even one on one DS has a better chance but not a great one. Robin in the Toon Titans was stronger than Nightwing is and Slade was able to beat him. Nightwing has stalemated current comic DS.

You must be a Teen Titan (animated) fan. I mean seriously your talking about a guy who has taken on five kid. Ok. Im talking about a guy who nearly took out the Teen Titan in numerous battles, and beat down some of DC biggest name not just in Identity Crisis. And the robot thing I don't see as an issue unless its Red Tornado or someone then I'd agree he'd be in for a fight.

Am I a Toon Titans fan? yes. Does that mean I'm wrong? No.
Look, I know Deathstroke is good. Really good. (Not Identity Crisis good but still good.)
But Slade would win. The Robin in Toon Titans was at metahuman levels and had trouble beating Slade and couldn't do it on his own. Deathstroke Stalemates with Nightwing who's at peak human. If Meltzer were writing it I'd give it to DS just because Slade would probably end up running into a sword or some bullshit. Otherwise though Slade takes it.
