yes....many people should be informed that there are many more asian races besides japanese, chinese, Korean etc.
Besides, Hmong are very well known...kind of....but best in California and Minnesoda+Wisconsin. ^^

Anyways, yes I do know what Hmong is because I am Hmong! But I wish we were as popular as Chinese.

mrmrs_sukiher Are you serious??? Nobody knows HMONG??? I'm glad Kazaf77 knows! MAN! 8/9 people!!! COME ON! Okay, maybe it's because we don't have a country. No, it's not a slang for Asian. Hmong is a race, just like Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, etc. Our ancestors are from China, but then we moved to Laos. But we HAVE NO COUNTRY! So that's probably a big one. Anyone else/??? Or are we known as "Miao or meow?" I heard that somewhere.... oh lao, ya my friends from lao to she thought that i was korean though

We learned about Hmong people in my history class last year. I also did a project on racism towards asians in the criminal law system in my english class. Since there were examples of cases in which Hmong people were involved, I got to learn more into depth about them as well.
