Ama, detecting a bit of sarcasm in Binti's tone, tried to make the best of it and shrugged. "Shoulder's just fine." He'd been ready to depart days ago, but out of respect for his mother, and her age, he'd waited. Sighing softly, he padded silently away from the females, opting to head down towards the stream to take a drink and freshen up slightly before they left. If they started off without him, it would be easy to catch up, he wasn't going to be but a few minutes down here anyway.

A small nod was the only reply she gave to Ama's response, although her tail did twitch once. "Then off we go." she said, nudging lightly at 'kali as she started walking in the direction that 'kali and her son had pointed out days before as being the one they'd come from.
Us'kali shook her head, but followed a few paces behind Binti, noticing, with a slight wrinkle of her nose, that her ankle joints were just a tad stiff. One of the joys of getting old, I suppose... she thought to herself, although the discomfort was not enough to impede her movement in any way.
Shujaa shot one last glance in the lion's direction before trotting to catch up to Binti, where he took up his usual position, directly at her rear flank, where he bumped his own shoulder up against hers, in the only show of comfort he knew she would accept--it had to be far harder than she would ever admit, leaving the only land she'd ever considered home behind her.
