"Hockey has to limits and rules beyond that of the game and it' considered completly proper to haul off and smash some ones face up because they fouled you."
Miller of course hated most sports beyond lacrosse, mainly because the people he knew who played them had a ego that could rival even that of Dr. Moreau in his opion.
"A Brit? Damn, I'm amazed you even know what lacrosse is, I was always under the impression that only the US had interest in it."

"Hehe yeah...I love hockey. Not the fairy stuff done on ice, the real stuff on hard concrete or muddy fields," he said with admiration, almost looking like a starry-eyed anime character as he reminisced about things he'll never be able to do again.
By this time, Oz had taken up role as a shade-giver to Miller, so engrossed was he in this discussion of sport that he'd left the large fan-like leaf hovering above the boy's head. And Oz had yet to notice the flying bugs that had taken up residence in the long fur on his shoulders and arms.
"Well, you're actually right. There's very little public interest in lacrosse, but I had to learn about for my degree. Gotta know all sports to be a sports manager or coach," he beamed proudly, having forgotten one tiny thing - he was a gorilla now.

Miller raised his eyebrow slowly, "I had a cousin who played ice hockey and lacrosse, I wouldn't say it's a fairy thing... both could be pretty nasty."
He chuckled at the far away look in Oz's eye takeing notice of the leaf finally, and the rather conviently placed tree above. Slowly he got up and walked over to the tree nodding. "Make sense knowing sports to manage for them, I'd be lucky if I remembered half the rules to football since I never much cared for it."
Even as he spoke he started to make his way up the tree, after all, they came out here to make nest no?

Oz snorted.
"Pah, the only dangerous thing about ice hockey is the skates. Its all about balance and speed and junk," he mumbled, obviously betraying his opinion on the sport.
In fact, Oz had a vendetta against sports that required balance or speed, since he didn't have the capacity for either of them. He wasn't too fussed about football either. He liked the game, but not the whole celebrity attachment.
"Football is easy. Or are you talking about American football, since thats close to my specialty - rugby," he continued to waffle on and on.
When he noticed Miller's ascent to the tree-top, he looked up at him curiously, wondering more if he'd said something to offend the bird-boy...or if he'd simply bored him.

"Well speed makes it dangerous though, I've never actually played hockey, but if some guy bigger then me where to say I dun know, come flying down the ring and smash me in to a wall? Well that would hurt quite a bit."
Miller wasn't all to great with speed and balance, he wasn't quick enough for midfeild and was just barely balanced enough not to end up flat on his rear playing attack.
"American football. You know the stuff that has meaning till you hit pro and then all it becomes is a giant paycheck with little meaning."
Miller wasn't actually offended or bored, he simply had a strange sensation that he should be up in the tree. One thing lead to another and now the bird boy was up in the tree and a bit confused to how he got there from the look on his face.
