"That would be great Mi' Lord. I feel some old memories have made me have this sad face. However, I don't know how to look at them." The two enter the study. Kalamadea motioned for Amara to sit. She nodded and did so, crossing her legs even though she wore pants. "You see Kithra and I are the last Amythest Gem Dragons alive. When we were destroyed, I was set to the task of defending our borders by the elders. However, when we were attacked I wasn't strong enough to hold them off. When I came too, the entire clan had been wiped out. Sir, How is it not my fault? How do I apologize to souls of the dragons that died because of my weakness?" Amara looked down at her hands that were folded in her lap. She didn't want him to see her tears.

The old dragon leaned from where he had sat on the edge of his huge desk, and lifted her face gently. He gently wiped away her tears with his thumb, and then spoke, still smiling gently.
{There is nothing to be ashamed of in failing at a task. You should only be ashamed if you did not do everything in your power to stop those attackers. If you wish to apologize, the best way would be to live, and keep their memories alive. If you two are indeed the last, then you should not despair, rather, you should rejoice in the fact that your kind is alive still, alive in you both. If indeed you are the last. I know my son has the mages searching right now, and I am sure they will find something. If not now, then in a few years. If not then, then in the next century, and so on. We can not despair over the past, the things we can not change, and forget to live with the present, and the things we can change.}

Amara looked into his eyes. "Thank You Mi'lord. I must go now and look after Kithra. You are right Mi'lord. I will live and teach Kithra to live as well!" Amara bowed as she turned and walked out to find Kithra and Sigilos.

In the library, Sigilos had shown Kithra the wonders of the Archives, but he had only shown her the first section of the first level. She had asked him about the Archives, and he had told her of how the caverns ran for miles, and ran deeper into the earth for many levels. As they came out of the Archives main entrance, he had spotted the Head Archivist, and stopped to speak with her.
*Hello, Seeker Juna. How have you been while I was away?*
^Life goes on, who is this charming young women I see behind you?^
*Haha, Kithra dear, no need to afraid of Juna, she's very nice you know. She taught me most of my lessons while I was here, and if she agrees, she'll be your teacher as well. That's actually what I wanted to talk about, Juna. This is Kithra, she's, well, I'm not too sure what to call my relationship with her, I suppose I'm one of her guardians for now. I'll have to ask Amara when I see her. Anyway, Kithra will be staying a while, and Amara and I wish to have her learn some lessons. The Sparring Master has agreed to teach her her weapons, and the Mage Priest has agreed to have her taught some magic by one of his best pupils. All that's left to have her taught her reading, writing, and some history. Of course, if you do take her, what ever you decide she should learn would be fine. The only condition is Amara wishes to oversee all of Kithra's training, in every field. Would you mind teaching Kithra?*
^Oh no, of course not. I would be delighted. Ever since you left, my lessons have been much smaller. You always had to ask a thousand questions.^
The librarian smiled kindly at the young girl. Bending down to speak to her.
^How about it, deary? Would you like to learn from these books?^

Kithra nodded and looked up at Sigilos. Amara walked up to them and looked at Juna. "You must be Juna the Archivist. Sigilos told me he was coming to see you." She wrapped her arm around Sigilos' waist and stood next to him. Kithra ran over and wrapped herself around Amara's leg. She put her other hand on Kithra's head and smiled at her.

Sigilos smiled, slipping his hand around Amara as well.
*Juna, this is Amara. She's Kithra's guardian. *
^Very nice to meet you, Lady Amara. I assume you are the guardian I was told wished to supervise little Kithra's training, correct? Well, I have no mind against it, I would be happy to have you accompany us for her lessons. Well, I'm afraid I must go now, I have some new books to catalog. Oh, and try to be understanding with Sigilos, he'll ask you about marriage soon enough, he just get shy.^
As the Archivist smiled and walked away, she heard Sigilos coughing. When he could breath again, he muttered out loud.
*I'm really gonna get her back for this.*
