He looked back, and nodded to her. "Its... okay." He panted and tugged at his shirt collar some. "Just... don't worry about it." He sighed softly and closed his eyes as he opened the door.
"I'll drop by after a while, check in on you. Make sure you have enough fish." He didn't want to say he was sorry. It wasn't anyone's fault. Well, maybe it was the fault of the folks up in the labs. "Its the least I could do", he said, walking out. He closed the door behind him, and inhaled a long slow breath, then slowly turned to make his way off towards his duplex. He needed his glasses, the sun was far too bright to deal with.

Alys gave a sigh, and watched as Alex left. A pillow from the couch found itself hurled to the other side of the room, and the fell onto the couch, face first. Whatever she said was too muffled by the pillow left over.
Her tentacles writhed and flailed about, and after her outburst, she sat up. Making her way, awkwardly to the bathroom. She filled the tub, and sat inside, soaking up the water's freshness.
