Did someone say Paquito D'Rivera? That man is awsome!!! When i think about latin sax players he would be one of the names that comes to mind first!
He is the best Latin Sax player since like the 50's if I recall correctly, but I have one of his Cd's.

Bossa Nova you cant go wrong with Antonio Carlos Jobim or Stan Getz

Latin jazz you could look into Poncho Sanchez there's a particular cd called Miami Jam that has some of the best latin artists in it like Poncho Sanchez, Arturos Sandoval Steve Turre and many more.

Tito Puente is one of the more accessible artists out there for latin jazz, too bad i never got to see him before he passed away.

look into Afro Cuban music too it's pretty awsome, Dizzy Gillespie did alot of that sort of music.

I'm glad someone here likes Antonio Carlos Jobim. All his songs are fun to play on my piano, bass, or trumpet.

The Girl From Ipanema, Meditation, Desifinado, How Insensitive to name a few.

Of course Jobim is the s**t! Most of the Latin or Bossa Nova standards have his name on them.
