Parents will always blame tv/books/videogames/movies before blaming themselfs for being terrible parents.
Damn straight. Most people are just dumb pretentious pricks. I get it at my work all the time. They can talk s**t to you. But you do it back and they go apeshit. And you're the one who gets fired....

They'll blame music, movies, t.v. and games all before they blame the person who actually pulled the trigger. The fact that most people with similar interests don't go shooting up their peers should provide proof that maybe the killer wasn't stable to begin with. No one in their sane mind can honestly say that video games told them that it was a good idea.
With that said, you can't deny that violent video games don't help the situation. Engaging in violent activities, even virtual ones will desensitize you to such ideas. The thought of someone getting his head shot off doesn't impact me the same way it might have 10 years ago.
