Casey Mae pursed her lips into a sympathetic expression. "Its not your fault... If its anyones fault its mine. I should have inquired first." She stroaked the young girls hair as she spoke in a motherly manner. "I wont let them get you." Casey promised, biting her lip. Weather or not she could keep to her promise was another matter.
"Casey!" The voice sounded faint. Casey Mae turned towards where she thought the sound came from, peering about blindly. "... Malic? Is that you? Where are you?" She winced as a muddled sound came from the left. "Erm... Malic? Are you okay? Erm... Dont worry... everythings okay over here... Is Tristan with you by any chance?"
(sorry... I've been really busy lately... and I temporarily lost my muse. sweatdrop )

Noah blushed a little at Eri's comment and laughed weakly. Honestly, he didn't blame her. Now that he was in know about what those doctors did to people..he didn't want them to get him either. But what was he going to do? Fight them? Ha. Noah wasn't a very strong person, nor was he very assertive or brave, as this confrontation showed. But he didn't want to become an animal! He didn't know what to do. Run away? Where? The island was surrounded by miles of ocean and out in the wild...there were those...monsters... He groaned lightly, trying not to think of how utterly doomed he was.
"It's okay," he stared quietly, speaking to Eri. "I do not blame you. I vouldn't vant zem to get me eizer."
He didn't say to much about the why though- it was entirely possible that the girl was just nervous around doctors. It was possible she didn't know about the aspect that the higher-ups were turning people to animals...so he kept quiet. No use to scare her even more than she already seemed to be.
Noah nodded slowly to Casey's response as well, indicating he accepted her apology. She probably should have asked first, but realistically, who was going to ask first in a place like this? Any delay in asking could prove to be a lethal or dangerous mistake...but maybe it was just his paranoia speaking.
He officially felt awkward and useless now, though. He watched that one girl- Casey, judging by the way she reacted to the call- comfort the other girl he had tripped over, and ralized...that they really didn't know each others names. He didn't bother ask though. it would seem stupid at a time like this. So he crouched down and leaned back against the tree whose roots he tripped over. Part of him wanted to go back to his duplex, but...he was very lost right now.
He heard someone calling out in the distance and pulled the egded of his coat in tighter. Judging by the way Casey spoke and reatced, it wasn't anyone dangerous...or so he hoped. He couldn't use anymore fright tonight.

Whilst everyone else seemed to have gone off to deal with the altercation nearby, Tristan had managed to get somewhat distracted by another figment of his imagination. Having chased it up onto the roof, he finally got back to the matter at hand by giving up on the terrible phantasm to watch the whole mess of confusion unfold. Amused by how things were going he sat back to observe untill finally hearing Casey's inquiry as to his whereabouts.
Maneuvering himself to a suitably agreeable branch overhanging the group he called out "Oi! 'ere I be!" He was definately having way too much fun with this, the distant firelight glinting off his glasses and grin eerily. While he didn't really want to frighten the younger girl, his idea of what was scary or terrifying was really quite far from that of most people, leaving him with a far more disturbing air than he thought he had.
[hey, hope I didnt go overboard here. Still sort've recovering from the constant deluge of classwork that I've had lately but I'll try to respond a bit more than I have been as of late^^"]

Eri grinned like a small child with a piece of candy. Their words made her feel at ease. This woman would save her from harm, svae her from the doctors. Suddenly she heard someone call out an name. The woman who had comforted her answered the call quickly.
"Casey? That's a pretty name."she said.
Suddenly another call was heard. It came from above them in a tree. Eri's eyes peered up and widened in horror.
What is that?! she cried as she tried to hide behind Casey.

Casey smiled at the small girls compliment. "Thanks.... I... erm... Sorry for my rude behavior but I dont suppose I know either of your n"
"Oi! 'ere I be!" Casey looked up curiously. Tristan was hanging upon a branch just above them, his appearance looked goulish like a phantasm of the devil. She laughed. "Tristan, you little ape, What're you doing way up there? You're gonna fall!"
She smiled down at the girl. "Its okay... just Tristan. No worries." Whincing she remembered Malic whose wearabouts were unknown. "Erm... Tristan! Can you see Malic? He stumbled off to find us and I'm afraid he's lost." She shouted up hoping that from his birds eye view he could find their lost friend.

Before the man could reply on the whereabouts of Tristan, he heard the familiar deep voice. Great Tristin found them easily enough so where was Malic? "I'm not lost," He called irritably and sheepishly, "I Just... can't find you." He followed their voices, almost tripping on devious roots, surely those trees had it in for him.
Finally the tall man stumbled into the small clearing, straightened himself and smiled at the dark gathering. "So where's Tristan gone to?" He asked casually as if wondering the jungle in the dead of night was a normal occurrence. He didn't recognise the other two silhouettes in the night next to Cassy

Noah gave a yelp of surprise as Tristan called out from above. He quickly scrabbled over the roots of the tree he was laying against on hands and knees and clambered behind the tree to hide. He sat there a few minutes with his hands clamped over his mouth, hearing the exchanged gretings and the sudden entrance of someone else. He lowered his hands and took several deep breaths, running his fingers through his hair to try and get it in some order before he edged his way back out into the clearing. He failed, of course; his bangs were tweaked all funny on one side now, but he hoped it was dark enough so no one would notice. God, he felt dumb.
He peeked around the side of thr tree at everyone and slowly moved back into view, not saying anything. It was okay, no one here was a total monster...just loud. God, if they don't quiet down...they might attract a predator, he thought grimly, even though there were probably no beast-men or wild animals this close to the duplexes.
He glanced around at everyone, cautiously surveying the necomers. They seemed to know that Casey girl, and they didn't seem harmful... He took another deep breath to finish steadying his nerves and finally spoke out.
"Regular party here, ja?" he said, quiet as always, a wan smile creeping across his face.

She peeked from behind Casey as the group grew larger. Another male, Malic joined them. He didn't seem threatening but that's not what she was worried about. She stared back up at the trees and looked around as if she was a small mouse expecting a hawk to fly down and scoop her up. Doctors, strange people, and fire.....This place was definitly not normal.
"E....Eri. My name is Eri." she squeeked.
She knew the woman's name, and from listening to her speak to the two who had joined them, she learned their names too. However, sh did not remember hearing the name of the one who had tripped over her.
