Look up the word ambiguity. It is a part of american culture. It's ignorant to say that it is only used for homophobic reasons. Yes I understand where you're coming from but honestly it isn't meant in a way to offend. If someone says "This math homework is gay" they don't mean that the homework is going to start wearing rainbow and trying to find some algebria and go behind the bleachers to make out. Chill out and realize that this whole world is one big joke to laugh at.

oddspongeout I either glare or retaliate with, "GOD, YOU'RE SO FREAKING STRAIGHT." lolololololololololol i love it any way ya i hear it a lot and i use to get pissed because some of my best friends are gay but it does not phase me any more becouse the word will soon pass as that term but its not only gay how about retarted it so insulting to people

First of 100% lesbian and I say, "That's Gay" all the time, and I also love to say ... "That's so Hetero" rofl
When other people use it ... I don't really care. I mean I'd be a hypocrite if I called them on it, not that I care cause I am one.
I think it's quite funny actually ... I think saying "That's Gay" is going the way of the "N" word where it's okay for people of that specific sexuality or color to say it in a friendly fashion. Though when someone of an opposite race or persuasion says it in the same manner, suddenly they are up in arms crying, "DISCRIMINATION!"
I think it's silly.
You can't just have a word that is only allowed to be uttered by a select few, the whole freedom of speech thing.
Also shouldn't we be focusing our anger on more important things ... like if my long time girlfriend got hurt I'm be stuck in the waiting room worried to death.
Gay marriage ... hate crimes ... not some silly usage of the word "Gay." Cause if they really intended on causing you harm they'd lynch your a**.
So all I have to say is, "Quit bitching ... cause That's SO GAY! It's just a word." im sure its not 100 percent please dont make up percentages just say a lot

However annoying, overused, and immature the phrase is, I don't usually speak out against it.
I don't use phrases like "that's so gay" because I choose not to demean my vocabulary -___-
HOWEVER.
If you EVER say f**got around me, be PREPARED TO BE SHUNNED.
I hate that word with a white-hot passion!!!

Ok here is a scenerio.
"Dude the server went down, that is so gay." as said by obnoxius gamer who I won't ressurrect in Shadowrun anymore.
My response to that is "Well is it gay now, because it isn't whimsical or uncaring. Oh im sorry your not smart enough to know what the meaning of gay would be if used as an adjective. Because Gay as your using it is a noun and it is insulting at least one member in the game."

"Thats Gay" has just become a phrase in society, half the time people really dont mean it as an insult to gay people itz just a phrase said at times of fustration. F** is really the only gay slander word i have a need to speak out about

God, I HATE it when people say that. It doesn't sound smart at all, and it's annoying. But I don't usually say anything about it. It's not like you can stop someone from saying something.

Well, when gay people say, "Dude, thats so straight!" (my spelling is retarted today) Imagine how the straight people feel!
But when straight people say "Thats so gay!" Doesn't mean that they are trying to be mean to gay people.
"Thats so gay." Has become such a big phrase, that the have t-shirts, some unknown songs, and a bunch of other things!
I'm not saying its right, I'm quite against it, but people have their Freedom of Speech, but sometimes it might be considered a hate crime.....Hmmm
So yeah, say it or don't say....People shouldn't really care. Words are useless.
