Kyuubi Kit Well, everyone who read Twilight knows that Bella is immune to vampire powers. . . What if she can't be turned because of it? What if she is immune to their bites, too? I know James bit her, and she started to feel as though she was on fire, but maybe it wouldn't have done anything? I don't know, I'm probably thinking too much into it. . . sweatdrop Well, if you read it really carefully Edward remembered the buring from his turning so how could it not turn her?... but I get what your saying that would be horrible because then bella would get all old and wrinkley and... and... and... ahhh it's just to horrible to say

jasu_tiin I laughed at Bella for a good ten minutes at the end of New moon, because if she'd kept her mouth shut after James had biteh her she would've been a vampire!! Hey, you're right! I found this amusing. . . xp

Ch0 I think she's just immune to the special powers, not regular vampire powers.. though i wonder.. if Bella is supposed to be immune to vampire powers then why can jasper affect her mood? and how can alice see her in her visions? maybe she's only immune to Edward because of that whole hunter and prey thing!? I dunno!

I think she's only immune to the extra powers that some vampires get when they become one.

I believe that Stephenie has mentioned it already on her website, http://stepheniemeyer.com.
Quote: Q. How come Alice and Jasper can affect Bella with their supernatural powers, but Edward and Aro and Jane can't? A. This question comes up at every single signing! The answer is explained in Eclipse, but I'm going to tell you all anyway, just so there's less confusion. Bella has a very private mind. She can't be touched there. What Edward and Aro do is clearly a mental thing; Jane, also, works inside the head (Jane doesn't actually inflict pain on anyone's body, she just puts the illusion of pain inside her victim's head. It's a very effective form of torture). Conversely, what Jasper does is no illusion. He affects the physical body, slowing the pulse and upping the endorphin levels to calm someone, for example, or raising the pulse and pumping out the adrenalin to excite them. Alice, also, works outside the mind in the realm of possible realities. She doesn't see the thought process behind the decisions, just the outcomes.
The information above was found in New Moon's FAQ.

Oh hehe, I was about to quote the site xDAngel - Fallen Well, everyone who read Twilight knows that Bella is immune to vampire powers. . . What if she can't be turned because of it? What if she is immune to their bites, too? I know James bit her, and she started to feel as though she was on fire, but maybe it wouldn't have done anything? I don't know, I'm probably thinking too much into it. . . sweatdrop She can be turned, there's no need for her to be immune something so powerful all of the sudden. sweatdrop So, wash away those thoughts please!! crying
It is clear though, she has hidden powers that would come out when she is turned. If she EVER does. -because then Edward won't have that attraction to her (love is enough though, don't worry.. but don't deny we all like the blood lust) -because she'd go into terrible depression... Stephenie included the little fact that blood repulses her, how would she live as a vampire? (getting over it? Im not sure about that.. neutral )
So now that I think about it.... There's pros and cons to the situation, I'd like for her to be turned... when she blossoms to her fullest... Like when she turns 20. 3nodding That way she'll have time to have fun, eat all she wants, get a tan, provoke Edward...
