I have stumbled across a wonderful shop, and have become enamoured with the whole concept. The shop is, simply, Pirates!
Welcome, and feel free to post and discuss the shop, my concept, and your own concepts and characters here. But please, stick to TOS and keep this thread for discussion of Pirates only. Thanks!

Her chosen clothing includes a simple peasant's blouse, a brown leather belt with a brass buckle, tan or black leggings, and half-boots made of soft brown sueded leather. She carries an unadorned scimitar blade on her left hip.
BACKGROUND
Maya has grown up a pirate. Her parents both were pirates, and she was raised aboard the ship they served on. Being a child on a running pirate vessel meant she was given no slack, and grew up tough and capable. As soon as she could toddle about on the deck, she was given tasks to do to help out on board. As she grew, she learned to love the sea, and to be sensitive to it's changing moods.
Now grown and in her young adulthood, it was time to leave her parents. They had practically booted her on shore, but there was no doubt the bond of love that they shared with her. It was a happy farewell, as Maya turned her sights to finding herself a new ship to become a crew member of, officially! No more to be a seabrat, but to be accepted as a piratess in her own right. The idea thrilled her deeply.
So it is she has come looking for a ship to crew on.
